Offsite to WDW

Not sure whether to post this here or on the Orlando Attractions board...but here goes!

We are staying at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas. From everything I've read, it's about 2 miles from DtD. Just wondered if anyone has stayed here or near it and could offer driving route advice...like what is the fastest way to the parks, what route should I avoid...etc. This is our first time staying offsite! Although I'm very greatful to be getting a free 2-bd condo thanks to mom and dad's timeshare, I'm very nervous about having to drive back and forth and how that will affect our touring plans!

I have never stayed at Cypress Pointe, but I have been in that general area when taking Palm Pkwy from Disney as a backway to get to Universal Studios. I would take State Rd. 535 south to the Hotel Plaza Blvd and it goes right by DTD changing into Buena Vista Drive. You can then take 536 or World Drive to get everywhere. Type in your resort's address on google maps, then "test drive" where you want to go and look at the layout of things. I think Disney is pretty easy to travel around but you have to drive defensively since a lot of people have no clue where they're going and drive accordingly. Enjoy your trip!!
