We are looking for a good offsite suite-style hotel (with bedroom completely separate from living area) near Disneyland. I see there are quite a few of these in the Anaheim area, but was hoping for a good recommendation of one?

Thank you!

<font color=navy>The ones I've heard about that are supposed to be good are the Embassy Suites South (a newer hotel with a jungle theme - big atrium & it serves complimentary breakfast there. Also the Raffles is supposed to be nice, but I don't know if it's as nice as the Embassy Suites.

We have some friends that just made reservations at the Days Inn & Suites at the Anaheim Resort Convention Center. It just opened a few months ago and has excellent rates as a lot of people are unaware it has opened. The suite they booked has a king bed in one room and bunk beds in another. Microwave and refrigerator as well as free continental breakfast. Might be worth looking in to ... good luck!

Do you have a link to that new Days Inn hotel? I would like to check rates for our stay.

Thanks!
DJ

The "New" Days in and Suites is an extensively remodeled old motel. I assume they did a good job on it. It looks decent from the outside. There are some smaller suite accomodations close to the parks. A couple of them are within a 5-7 minute walk of the parks front gates. The Desert Inn and Suites as small Parlor suites that sleep 6. The Desert Palm Inn and Suites is just completeing an addition and remodel and also has small parlor suites and some newer bigger (and way more expensive) suites.
The Portofino Inn and Suites has two room suites as well. There is also a Residence Inn just a hair farther. The Hawthorn Suites and Peacock Suits are all suites hotels but don't generally get the greatest reviews. The New Embessey Suites and the Marriott Suites are nice looking and get good reviews but are farther away. If you want a bit nicer and don't mind taking the shuttle those are for you. I personally prefer to be with in a short walk of the parks so stick to the closer in places.

Here are two links. One is a map of Disneyland area accomodations and the other is an ariel view.

We've stayed at the Embassy Garden Grove and it was a wonderful stay! I usually prefer to be within walking distance but if you don't mind the quick shuttle ride the GG Embassy is wonderful! If you prefer walking distance we've found Desert Inn to be clean and spacious but very plain. The customer service was very good though!

Park Inn International has suites also but I don't know if it's a seperate bedroom like Embassy or just a sofabed in the room like BW Park Place Inn(my fave)princess:

westjones,

Here is their website:

You can also check rates on the www.daysinn.com website. My friend actually got a better rate by calling the hotel direct. I used the website and checked rates over the Memorial Day weekend and found a room w/two queens for $55.00, I'm not sure how much more the suite would be. I would also like to point out that the hotel is 100% non-smoking in case that is an issue for anyone.

Mrs. Toaster, we have stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim on Harbor Blvd. (it's technically in Garden Grove)
it's about a 20 min walk south of DL, and a 5 - 10 min shuttle ride away.

just like the Embassy Suites, there is free breakfast in the mornings (it is more continental breakfast though, no "cooked to order" food).
rooms have a full kitchen and living room area with couch, coffee table, and tv set.
the bedrooms have a door, that can close to separate it from the living room/kitchen area.

the only one complaint we had about the Homewood Suites was that there is only one elevator, and it can be a little slow.
otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay.
