I hope this is the right place to post...

We are looking for some offsite restaurants that would be kinda fun for young kids. We have a car so that's not a problem.

Any suggestions?

Joe's Crab Shack. About once an hour they play music, all the waitstaff stops working and they dance. The kids join in and they dance all over the restaurant. Very cute. Very casual place. Not the place to go if you are looking for top quality fish meals.

Joe's also has an playground outside. Sit on the deck, watch the kids, and have a drink.

There is a Benihana's at the Hilton - the kids love watching them cook the food and perform their "tricks." It's very kid friendly. Menu for kids include chicken/steak/shrimp with rice and corn.

they dance at Pop Century - not every hour - but once in the morning and evening.

We have had some good experiences such as TGIFridays in the Formosa Gardens shoppping area had a balloon person and what he could do to those balloons was amazing. My sons got a parrot and the other a monkey such detail and what a great personality.

At Carrabbas in the same area they give the usual crayons and paper but they also plop down a ball of dough for the kids to play with. My kids thought it was a lot of fun getting goughey dough to handle while we waited.

I know you had said off site but O'Hanas is my kids all time fav with those coconut races and candy at the finish line. Even my picky nephews had a ball. Dressed my daughter in a grass skirt and she did the hula hoop and had a ball.

Landry's Seafood on I believe what is RT 535 also has a very nice playground for the kids as well as a balloon man.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

Joe's Crab Shack looks like a good place for us...will give it a try.

We had a fun time at one of the restaurants in the Gaylord Palms. Sam's Fish Camp I think its called. They had live music and other things going on too (balloon lady etc). We lucked in at a very quiet time and the place was not full at all - that meant our kids got lots of attention from the roving entertainment.

In addition, Gaylord Palms has a kids club, so you could feed the younger ones early, pop them in the kids club and then have a quiet adult meal at one of the restaurants there. (But do make reservations in advance!)

i will say Cici's Pizza, a great pizza buffet for a price of $4.99 and it's very good

I second this one, my kid's couldn't get enough of this place. I have even signed up for a franchise when they come to our area!! If your kids like pizza, they will love this!

There are actually several Cici's down there. We went to the one on 192 in Old Town and it was brand new at the time. If you look at their website (cicis.com) you can pull up the restaurants in that area. I think somebody mentioned there was one on I drive too. Enjoy!!

If you are looking for a Japanese hibachi restaurant I would recommend Kobe over Benihana. There are a few locations in the area (our favorite is the I-Drive one).
