Review Offsite pool comparisons

We're planning a WDW trip for this winter (between early December & early February), and I'd be grateful for opinions on offsite hotel pools. I love the look of the Caribe Royale pool, but I've seen a few reviews that say they don't heat it like Disney does. My kids turn blue pretty quickly, so I'd hate to build a vacation around a pool they won't swim in! Anyone have recommendations, both for layout and temperature? We were happy with the temp at the Poly in January '08, when the weather was 70s/50s, if that helps in making comparisons.
