We are thinking about a monthly rental near Disney (prefer gated). What are your top 3 choices? We have been told Windsor Hills is nice but are open to locations a little further away from Disney as well.

Id say windsor Hills, emerald island, reunion. WH wins because of the fantastic community pool and clubhouse area and proximity to Disney. EI larger homes. Reunion definitely most exclusive but more expensive. Really depends what you are looking for. We've used websites specific to the resorts before usually WindsorHillsPrivateRentals .com, EmeraldIslandPrivateRentals .com, ReunionPrivateRentals .com

Id do some searching of properties and find out a little more about the resorts first. Is suggest Reunion might be $$$ for a month :-)

We just returned from another fabulous stay in Windsor Hills. The resort is beautiful! It's very close to attractions, shopping and dining yet is very quiet and safe. The community pool was just renovated in September. Everything was maintained to the highest standards and we are now trying to schedule our next visit.

Do you mind if I ask, were you in a condo, townhome or individual home. I understand the homes have pools but were told the townhome pools were more like a splash pool.

Thanks, Dave. We will research. We are looking for a 2 - 3 bedtoom unit. It looks as if many of the communities have large homes. WH is a definite possibility!

We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with a private pool and game room. I believe that the townhouse pools are smaller with no hot tub but you are close to the clubhouse.

We've stayed in the WH townhomes with the splash pool. It is more like an oversized bath tub - not much swimming that will occur. We personally didn't care for it, but it would be ok if you wanted to just bob and float or have small children.

ETA: ours was heated - it was like being in a hot tub with no bubbles :)

I'd agree with ready2vacation. TH pools are simply plunge pools ideal for infants but villa pools far better for families wanting to splash around of a day.
