Offsite Hotel Help!!

Our first trip to DLR we stayed at the HoJo and did not feel like it was a long walk at all. The walk was well lit and felt safe, in the mornings we went to Mimi's for breakfast (right next to the HoJo). Now there is also the Panera on the way to the park entrance. This past Oct we stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites. Closer but did not feel like a big difference. Both were fine, clean with pretty big rooms. Would stay at either one again (but trying the Tropicana in a couple of weeks).

We loved PVI it is a Motel type but it was extremely close and had everything we were looking for at a great price and I don't think my kids could have made the walk to HoJo after walking in the park all day a lot of times they barely made it back to PVI!

Tropicana, Carousel Inn or Best Western Park Place are all close and fine hotels.

Don't you have to go to the stoplight in front of Best Western Park Place Inn to cross the street? Anyone know how to get a discount on Park Vue? I looked at their website but didn't see any place to enter AAA or anything like that.
At the check in desk when you arrive just ask for the AAA discount and hand them your AAA card. They adjust your room rate then. If you want to know the rate in advance, call them. They have excellent customer service.
