Offsite hotel for night before check in

I'm looking for some hotel ideas for the night before check in at our Disney resort. We have reservations for Saratoga Springs Resort May 23-27. We will be driving from western New York, leaving home on Sunday the 21st driving straight through and arriving in Orlando on the 22nd. I want to do this so that our first Disney day is a full one. Can anyone recommend a cost effective hotel close to Disney? We don't have to be 5 minutes away, but I also don't want to have to drive an hour that first day. Thanks in advance!

We've had good experiences with Red Lion Inn on Irlo Bronson (clean, basic motel, no frills, inexpensive), and Buena Vista Suites (living and bedroom, breakfast included, a bit more expensive, but look for deals in mousesavers newsletter). Both have attentive staff and are about 10 mins from main gate.

We always stay offsite the night before. If Disney discounts are good, it might be worth your while to book a value resort. If not, we usually stay at a chain hotel on Irlo Bronson. Next year, we are staying at Comfort Suites Maingate.

The Quality Inn on entry point in Kissimmee is a decent price and close to the parks .It is not fancy but it's clean and has a pool .
