DH & I will have two full days at the parks on August 25 & 26 (Wednesday and Thursday), but we're staying offsite at the Doubletree. My plan is to go to IOA early on Wednesday morning and do the Potter section, followed by the rest of the park until the 7:00pm closing. Thursday we would go to Universal and then finish the day at IOA with Potter repeats or anything we missed the day before (IOA is open until 8:00 that day).

Does this sound like a good plan? Or should we tour the rest of IOA first while the crowd is at Potter and wait until later in the day both days? :confused3

I hope it's a good plan. It's the exact one we are following on our visit in October (only we are there on Thursday and Friday).

My niece and I got in line for FJ a bit before 8:00 a.m. on August 6. We were held in place in Jurassic Park until just after 8:30. Even with a 15-20 minute ride breakdown, we were approaching the "inside" test seats before 10:00 a.m. (At that point I failed those seats and was shown to the fatso exit...see the "size" thread for that.)

We might have done better to get in line by 7:30 a.m. That would be my recommendation for anyone going in peak season.
