I feel like since we are staying at a Hilton, that Disney has completely shut my family out of BOG.
I am a type A person who has tried for 60 days straight to get BOG reservations. I was completely shut out at each of the 6am 180 days phone calls I made. Then, for the next two months I logged in and called daily. Also, if you stay offsite, you can't fast pass lunch either. You can only wait on line like second class citizens, while the onsite people breeze through the line.
I know that the other Disney people are great planners, but this feels wrong.
I suspect the concierges of each hotel are hoarding the reservations and then saying to their guests, "Hey, do you want to try our new French restaurant?":crazy2:

I just got a bog reservation about a week ago.

I keep stalking the website and I usually find something after midnight eastern time. The other day I actually saw one listed during the day.

Dont give up and keep trying.

Also check at the 45 day mark when payments for packages are due.

Yes, don't give up!! What month are you going in?? Maybe you could subscribe to that months cancellation board. I was able to get one tonight through the cancellations board. BOG is just a super hard one to get.

I got my BOG well past my 180 day. We were into like day 120 when I got mine and I am staying onsite but there was no advantage in my favor by the time day 120 hit. There was nothing at the 180+10 day for me all the way until we got to 120. I think its totally luck of the draw. BoG is super populer they dont need the concierges pushing it at check in.... Sorry for your bad luck, but keep looking. Hopefully something will come up. :goodvibes

I doubt it. There is very high demand for this restaurant and Disney are money making business. They won't hoard reservations just in case someone need them - not in quantities anyway

if it makes you feel any better, even onsite guests are reporting they can't get BOG at 180 + 10. There actually is that much demand for the place (and it's not about the food). There is no holding back or hoarding of reservations but you might be able to grab a cancellation, people cancel all the time.

I'm sorry you are frustrated, but I think you might be exaggerating just a little. Obviously Disney wants people to stay on site, so yes they are definitely going to try to have perks for those who stay onsite.

But as you saw on here several people have released reservations, and I was able to get one MUCH later than 180 days. We are staying on site, but weren't planning to at 180 days, so I've gotten all of my reservations from 150 days and in. And I have been able to get everything I want, including BOG, CRT, CP pre park, Ohana, 1900, Tusker, and a bunch more. I had Akershus, but let it go. And I'm not "bragging" - I'm just pointing out that it can definitely be done post 180 days.

I did stalk the website a lot and I also subscribed to the September and October cancellation boards, and that has been incredibly helpful!

Good luck though - people cancel ALL the time! I really hope you get it!

we stayed last year on site and could not get BOG ADR at 180 days, kept trying for months and finally gave up.

They are now doing SB+ for BOG lunch, they hand out paper pass with return time so go early to get one, as when those are gone there is no more availability for the day.

Yes, keep trying. I had to tweak my Crystal Palace reservation about 10 days before our trip and BOG popped up as open for our party of 6. I didn't need it because we wanted to see Eeyore, but it was there.

It is hard to keep logging in and filling out the search engine, but that is what many folks are doing. And as PP stated, subscribe to the cancellation feed..turn on the email notifications. If you are searching for a specific time, try to just click on Dinner and see if there are any openings that way.

FWIW, we were off site also. pixiedust:

There have been a lot of available seatings for "hard to get" adrs for our upcoming trip. We arrive in less than 3 weeks and there have been many options that were not there at our 180 days. You just need to keep checking and I suggest that you search online as much as possible. There were no BOG available at 180 days for our 2 park days. We now have the chance to dine there at 4:00 on a MNSSHP night. Just this past Saturday, we were able to book CRT pre park opening. This weekend there were adrs available for CM's, 1900, CP, 'Ohana, Tusker, CG, LeC, H&V, all during our 2 days in the parks.

Keep checking and good luck.

Quite frankly, you are a second class citizen as far as Disney is concerned. I for one do not blame then at all for treating you that way. On site guests pay more money for a room than a comparable off site hotel room. Guests do so in order to take advantage of certain benefits that Disney gives to its on site guests.it's the price you pay for saving money at a other hotel.

I am staying onsite for 8 days and I wasn't able to book BOG at 180+10 for any evening during our trip. On the days we are in MK there isn't any availability to FP lunch either. It isn't just the offsite guests that can't get into BOG!

I agree on keep trying. We had a late reservation scheduled for our upcoming trip for another popular restaurant. Although we have eaten there 1 other time that late and had excellent service that late I was really hoping to get an earlier time due to us checking out the very next day and needing to get back to our resort at a decent time to get everything packed up and car loaded up. Kept checking everyday and bam about 3 days ago I saw an earlier time and called and got it. So like others have said keep checking morning, noon and night.

The beauty of BOG, for those whining they were unable to get a rezzie and want to experience it so bad, is all you have to do is just go stand in line and do the lunch. All the other hot ticket ADRs of years past didn't have a QS lunch to afford such an opportunity.

That's one of the perks of being an on-site guest.
It was your choice to stay off site knowing that on-site guests get priority for lunch fast pass. I'm pretty sure they are not hoarding reservations either.

This sounds like a big boo-hoo story to me. I guess I'm not super compassionate because you can still keep calling, even the day of to try and get a reservation. Try moving the date if possible, if not, then the time.

This is the newest and most popular CS/TS restaurant in a newly expanded Fantasyland. Did you really think it would be as easy to get a reservation here as it is at, say, Crystal Palace?

I'm kinda glad BOG is so popular as TS meal, maybe that will free up more Ohana reservations for us ;)

I was able to get a BOG reservation at 180 without a package (2015 packages hadn't been released yet, so I was just doing each ressie one at a time). It is for 7:20 so not perfectly ideal, but not bad at all. Apparently I got pretty lucky, but it is possible!

This is why people choose to stay on site. Disney knows this, they exist to make magic (and oh yeah, money). I just googled the LBV Hilton for when I'm staying and I could save a ton of money staying there. Instead, we're staying onsite to get some of the bonuses that come with it. EMH, earlier reservations, transportation, they're part of the magic.

I'm sorry you aren't getting what you want, some people with on site ressies don't either.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement and even tough love:confused3 Ha Ha I appreciate the fresh perspective.

Don't give up hope! I am an onsite guest who has been checking since the 180+ mark, and still nothing ( we are 4w away from our trip now). I keep the BOG reservation page up on my computer at work, and check a dozen times a day, as well as when I get home. I got one last year immediataly on the 180 mark, but nothing so far. I'll keep trying, and even check on the day of. Hopefully something will turn up. I am stalking the canc. threads also. Stay positive!
