We have three little girls coming to Disney World the first week of June.

Are Anna and Elsa still impossible to book for offsite guests? 30 days ahead of time?

Any other recommendations on how to get in to see them? Rope drop only?

Yeah, if you don't manage to score a FP, I'd say doing rope drop is the best and/or only option.

Book a throwaway room or campsite for one night. For around $100 you'll get all your MBs(they'd cost you $13 each if you buy them) and you'll get parking for 2 days($30 I think) and then you will get to book 2 days at 60 days out and then a rolling 60 for every other day you have tickets for. So it ends up you are paying about $20 to prebook A&E.

We were there during the first week of June last year. Just before their 11:30 pm closing time, A&E had a posted wait time of 90 minutes but the actual wait was less than 10. We had enough time to visit A&E then hit 7 Dwarfs for 2 more rides before the park closed at midnight.

If you don't want the bands, that's a pretty expensive fp+ with no guarantee you're going to get A&E. A lot of people who have the full 60 day window say they've had to book out towards the end of their trip to get the fp+'s. A rolling window doesn't give you that advantage. Plus there's no guarantee how long this glitch or whatever one chooses to call it will last. Could be today, tomorrow or never that they fix it.

I would suggest you try for the back end of your trip, schedule 1 at a time if you need to and add others in the party on and overlap times if you need to. Also, keep checking. Availability pops up when people cancel. If all else fails, rope drop or during slower times of the day is your best bet to avoid a long line.

Good luck!

I guess if you don't get the FP you could cancel your reservation and no harm no foul since the magic bands don't ship out until a few weeks before your trip and you get a full refund if you cancel that far out(and this would apply if it were a glitch and no longer an option at your 60 day window, but since this has been going on for more than a year it is unlikely it is a glitch in the system). If it is important resie the extra 30 days can be a big help and it does seem like the majority who book at midnight(or 1am on the goofy days) are getting them. I would plan it where you try to snag the A&E on the first two days so the rolling FP isn't an issue. Either way if it is something you don't mind spending a little extra on (and as I pointed out it isn't really much OOP b/c you get the MB and 2 days parking if it ends up being something you use) it doesn't hurt to give it a try. You are certainly at a better advantage than without the throwaway.

OP if you find the throwaway thread you will see that there are a lot who have used it and found it very successful. It isn't something that all people want to pay for, but it is certainly a great option to increase your chances at snagging the HTG FP!!pixiedust: Either way, good luck!!
