Officient?

We need an officient.....any recomendations? Our wedding is seven months out, should we go ahead and contact somebody? We are both United Methodist.

My fiance and I have decided to use Rev. Jack Day. A lot of other Brides here have suggested him and from everything I've read and heard he is the sweetest and nicest guy. We also used Rev. Jack Day. I agree 100% with what JoD says, he is the most wonderful man and made our day that much more perfect. We wrote our entire ceremony and he was so helpful!

Rev. Jack was booked for our day, and Rev. Tim took awhile to respond to our email requesting more info (I think he was pretty busy) so we went with Rev. Kevin Knox.

He was very friendly and not stiff or stuffy at all...he made us laugh and feel relaxed (which is exactly what we wanted)...and he (and a few other officiants) provide a lot of information so that you can do things to personalize your vows. I got some great ideas of things I'd never considered for our ceremony.

Anyway...just wanted to say that Rev. Kevin is a great officiant too!!

We used Rev. Tim, and were happy with him. My husband dealt with all the officiant 'stuff' prior to the wedding, so I dont really know how Rev. Tim is with correspondence, but when we met him at our planning session he was very warm and had the same opinion/theory on weddings/marriage that we have so it was a good mix. He was great at our rehearsal, especially with dealing with the children of the wedding party, and while I don't remember much of our ceremony, everyone else raves about it! (We didn't write our ceremony, we gave Rev. Tim some guidelines that he followed).

We are using Rev. Miller and even though we have only talked by e-mail, he is one of the nicest people I have ever "met". He seems to genuinely be excited for our wedding and even sent us Christmas greetings! I'm so excited to meet him!

We, too, had Rev. Jack Day. I can't tell you enough what a sweetheart he is!!! He really worked with us before the wedding and was so sweet and charming on our wedding day!
