Hi there... My name is Jamie and I am somewhat new to this board. I got engaged Dec 12, 2003... and we are planning a March 2005 Wedding at the Pavilion and the Boardwalk resort with about 100 guests. I received my estimate today and I am soo happy with everything.

I have to start searching for an officiant and was wondering if anyone can tell me approx. how much they charge? I wanted to budget for it but I dont even know where to begin???

Also if anyone knows of any good inexpensive photographers in the area... Disney seems to be very high.

Also, I was wondering what everyone was doing about Floral. Are most of you using Disneys Floral?? It seems to be high, and I wanted something simple. Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaids Bouquets, corsages, etc - but very simple... I decided not to use floral arrangements on the tables, and I will do bowls with floating candles instead, with rose pedals on all tables.

One more question ... Sorry!!

When it comes to setting up the room (place cards, rose pedals on tables, etc...etc...). Is there someone that does that so we dont have too? We are getting married at 12pm and I cant see how I will have anytime in the morning to set up anything except... myself!!

Please Help!

Jamie

Hi Jamie congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the DIS.

OK first off Officiant is $175.00

We are having Randy Chapman for photography and I find his work to be both good quality and at a fair price - see www.chapmanphotography.com I do know there is cheaper still out there.

I found Disney Floral to be quite expensive I am going with Charming Events. They have been good quality and value for me so far with great ideas. They'll also move your decorations from the ceremony to the reception venue for you too. The Propieter of Charming Events, Emily attends to all the details and only does one wedding a day to ensure that you have her undivided attention this was the clincher for me :) I am having pillar candles and rose petals as my centrepieces and she has been an inspiration with all my ideas.

My EM is doing some of the extra little set-up details you mention as well as Charming Events. As long as I give them all the place cards etc at the Rehearsal the day before.

We used Disney for our photography services, but since then our photographer has gone out on his own. Here is his web site...

I haven't priced for a long time, but I loved his personality and style of his photos. He has information for both Intimate and Full Service Weddings on his site.

As for Officiant - they all charge the same standard rate. We loved Rev. Jack Day, he was warm, kind and felt like he knew our family and was a long time family friend although we first met him the night before at our rehersal. We've run into him each year and never miss a chance to say hello, and now he's met our two daughters.

We had Randy Chapman do our photograph. The photos are amazing! We paid the extra for BW also. It was definitely worth it. I recieved tons of compliments on our photos and he was really reasonable.

Rev. Tim was our officiant. He was really a pro and set our mind at ease a lot.

FYI-Our Disney Coordinator failed to show up for our ceremony, so if it wasn't for Rev. Tim and Randy we wouldn't have even got married.

We went with Gary Fox for photography. We wanted the more "photojournalistic" style of photography, and met with Gary and Damon Tucci (ahutton's photographer). It was a hard choice - both seemed very nice and very talented.
