Officially Bummed

Well guys, I am 8 days away from being Home for the first time and can say that I am officially bummed. I read today that Haunted Mansion goes down for rehab on the 3rd of Sept and re-opens about 4 days after we leave. Haunted Mansion is my favorite MK attraction and one of my wife's favorites as well. We will certainly miss our "ghost host" this trip and its a good thing we have a trip in January scheduled. Oh well at least I'm goin home soon

It's always a big disappointment when an attraction is down for rehab.

At least with DVC, you know that another trip is never that far away.

I'm trying to feel sad for you but you are going again in FOUR months. My jealous nature finds no tears for you. LOL

You are right. We are incredibly blessed to be going back again in four months. Taking a couple friend and their dd and ds with us for their first trip to WDW.

Then to add salt to the wound, we are will return home again next Sept for a trip with my aunt and uncle and their dd and ds for their first trip to WDW. Gotta love those Annual Passes..and the DVC of course...

I too will miss the HM, as I will be at WDW during that time. It is one of the attractions I really look forward to. I am glad however, to see Disney doing proper refurbs to keep everything up to snuff.

At least I, like TiggerFanNTX, will be returning soon.

Hey TiggerFNTX, I'll feel sorry for you if you promise to report back here how BCV was. We just added-on there (home resort is OKW) and I love hearing about it.

I do understand that little nagging feeling when you can't get to do something you are really looking forward to. One of our favorite things to do is the Pooh breakfast at Crystal Palace. CP closed for renovations the DAY BEFORE we got to WDW. Everytime we were at MK, I said to my son - "I can't believe they're closed." But, we had a fabulous time anyway - got to see all of the Pooh characters at AK.

Enjoy - and remember you can do HM when you go back later this year!!!

LOL! I always get that "bummed" feeling too when I know one of my favorites is closed when we are there, but as stated...I know I will be going back, so it doesn't matter!
