Probably be the 6 PM Pacific time one since the quote is "You'll have big super happy fun fun with this Wii classic. "

I'm waiting for the Sims (I'm guessing that's what it is anyways) at 3 PM Pacific, I've been meaning to pick it up and this would be a good chance.

Anything on Devil May Cry?

Sure, what do you want to know?

www.ign.com has reviews if that is what you want. The reviews will tell you all the details about the games too. Its an action game where you play as Dante--sword fighting--really dark themes and LOTS of cleavage.

What info are you looking for? There are more than one game. The third one either just came out or is about to...

Dang, dang, DANG. I sat at my computer for hours today, trying to get the Amazon SIMS deal. Can you believe I quickly made the kids dinner after telling myself I could take a break from 4pm-6pm? Then I went online at 5:55pm, logged into Amazon.com, and stared in disbelief. It was at 2pm PST, which I knew darned well is 5pm my time. I MISSED IT. I cannot believe I stared at the time, and just brain-fogged so badly.

I guess I didn't HAVE to get that game, but dd14 hates all video games except Sims. Blah.

...and then I tried for the SImpsons one. It went into my shopping cart, and I quickly went to pay. Right as I went to pay, the amount was suddenly 49.99. I went back to the home page, and it is 100% claimed. Seriously, I have high speed internet, was already signed in, and went STRAIGHT to my already-registered shipping address and credit card. THERE WAS NOTHING TO TYPE. Is the lightning deal only like 2 copies??

Like the wife said do you want to know abotu the newest one or one of the old games....in my opinion they are fun action packed games, but it's definately not worth $59.99 to me....just my opinion, but I'll wait for it to drop in price before I buy it. Espically since they ahve kinda gone downhill since the original.

This is why I never bother with the Amazon deals...they allways dissapear before I can nab it.

I am SO glad I found this thread!!! I've tried going to other Wii boards and I think they only speak Hebrew :confused3 because I seriously can't understand what they're saying! This thread seems like "real" people knowledgeable about the Wii...on a Disney website. Who'd athunk?? :lmao:

Anyway, I have two questions and I apologize if they've already been asked. I haven't had time to go through this whole thread...... 1) Multiplayer games....which are the best? My have three teenage daughters and we love Sports, Play and Raging Rabbids. We're considering Playground and Smartypants. Any others I should look out for? 2) My boyfriend loves the golf, but the wiimote doesn't always seem to coincide with his swing, especially his putting. We've tried new batteries and re-syncing. Any other suggestions?

Thanks again for your input!!! :thumbsup2

My DS talked me into buying the Simpson one last night and I got it on the lightning deal. Today, DS's interim report came in the mail with 2 Fs. If you would like to buy the Simpson's game from me for the lightning deal price ($25) please PM me. I will be selling this game as DS will not be playing Wii for a LOOOONG time! I hope someone else can take advantage of a good deal on a game!

We just bought a Wii two nights ago when Sears had it in stock. We can't wait until it gets here! Only thing available was the bundle that came with Smartypants, Mario & Sonic Olympics, and Super Swing Golf, so hopefully those are decent games.
Just wanted to thank everyone for all the info here.. it's helpful to a Wii newbie!

I need help with Zelda twilight princess. I am stuck in the mines in the spot where you have to pull open the rock slab and then run through the hole. I can't figure out how to get through quickly enough. Does anyone know how?

First welcome to the thread....We trie to make it as accessable as possible to "non-gamers" as VideoGame nerds would refer to many of you on this thread. Trust me I unserstand how other gameboards can be confuseing to those not in the know...We use so many tech terms that it's near impossible for a normal person to read!! It's like our own private code!

Anway My wife started this thread out of her excitement upon the Wii's launch and she does a great job of turning my NErddy Jargon into common terms for you all to understand.

As for your questions...
1) I think in the very first post of the entire thread(the FAQ) there is a list of the popular/hot Mulotiplayer games.

2) As for Golf I'm going to assume that your talking about the WII sports golf game that comes with the wii and not tigerwoods. To answer your question putting on the wii is one of the things that doesn't work perfectly. I have learned that for me to put it well I have to p[retty much be a "pro" You have to keep your arms perfectly starait and put as if you were being taught(never bending your arms and a nice fluid motion. Remember it's differently then hitting a golf ball with any other club. But like I said it's Wii Golfs one weak spot so he'll just have to mess around until he gets the hang of it.

Welcome to the group again and please don't be a stranger.

No apologizing! With the thread all I expect anyone to do is read the first 3 or my posts (FAQ, best/worst games, and reviews). After that, feel free to ask away. Like DH said some info on multiplayer games is in those posts, but to be more specific to the info you gave...Do you have Raving Rabbits 1 or 2 or both? 2 is a good multiplayer option. A lot of people around here like Playground a lot, but I don't know much about Smartypants. There are so many options, it's hard to narrow them down and I don't actually own very many multiplayer games, but there are a few BIG ones coming out soon. I would hold off buying anything else and get Super Smash Brothers (March 9th). It might not seem like the game for you at first glance, but I firmly believe that this will be the best multiplayer game there is (even better than Sports)...until the next big game---Mario Kart comes out later this year.

Congrats and Welcome!

Nevermind. I figured it out. :)

:thumbsup2 Good job!
Anytime you need a walkthrough for a game, the best place to go is either www.ign.com or www.gamefaqs.com. Just search by the game title and then look for the walkthroughs. I know IGN has a great one for Zelda. IGn is in HTML whereas gameFAQs is all text-based which can be annoying. I always check IGN first.

Disney's Ultimate Band
Ultimate Band for Wii allows players to live the life of a rock star, by advancing their music careers and popularity from playing in a neighborhood garage to performing in front of an international audience at a world famous venue. Ultimate Band utilizes the innovative Wii Remote and Nunchuk to give fans the ability to play the drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, or take on the role of the front man. Players can also create and customize characters that reflect their own unique personalities and attributes. Along the way, players unlock new songs, venues, and accessories that can be used to customize their band members.

There's game reviews up in front of the thread, so definitely check those out, but I love Super Mario Galaxy!!! It has fun music, all sorts of different levels that keep the game interesting, it's challenging but still do-able for a relative console gamer newbie (me) but not so easy DS 19, who was born with a controller in his hand, doesn't want to play. From everything I've read, it's much better than the Olympics one. Don't know about the surgery one.

We just rented Smartypants this weekend & the family DH, DD 13, DS 10, & I all agreed that we enjoyes Big Brain Academy (or whatever the Wii version is called) much much more. That is just our opinion though. We bought Playground this weekend and really enjoyed that. We also rented Carnival & really enjoyed that & it is now on our to buy list.
