Official Thread for March 2007

Whew!! I thought I was the only one getting my DD's(3) clothes packed ahead of time and checking sizes, I am not alone. I plan on bringing a few long sleeve shirts for her, I am hot all the time so I will not, I will be sleeveless probably. I am also bringing her a sweater for the chilly mornings and then will throw it in the stroller when it gets warm enough.

Anyone have any idea of what crowd size I should expect from March4-8?? It's one of Disney's "Wonderful Weeks", although that doesn't seem to matter! I'm expecting it to be similar to the week before Christmas while I was there....probably waited about 45 min or so (although, the longest was about 1 hour for Star Tours....DF insisted!). Any insights as to what I should expect? I'm a first time Marcher!:rotfl:

nittanyliongirl02,

If you get to the parks at rope drop and use FP, you'll get in all the major attractions before crowds get too bad. I'd call the crowds 'Moderate'. By 1 pm the big ticket rides will have 45 + min stand-by waits, and that's the time we bail out and hop to Epcot, which swallows crowds. At MGM for instance you can expect to do ToT and R 'n Rollercoaster back to back with no wait, grab a FP for one or the other then head to Star Tours and do that without much of a wait. At MK you should be able to do all the mountains before you take your first FP. It's a great time to be there.

Would you say the same about March 21-25, been a long time since we've been there in March, I know alot can change.
Also I see your a beer drinker, by chance where is the best place to get a good beer in WS, don't really like German beer, but willing to try something new!;)

GrumpyFamilyof5,

We've never been there that late in the month and only mid Nov. and the first week in Jan other than our usual early March trips, which we've done 6 times. From what I understand, the closer you get to Easter, the more schools are on break and the bigger the crowds at WDW. As for beer in WS, I'd recommend stopping in to the Rose & Crown and trying a Boddington's or Stella Artios. They also used to have a brew sampler in which you get 5 - 6 oz. of 5 or 6 different beers. While there, consider a Guiness and don't be put off by the dark color, it's not a heavy drink. In Mexico there's Dos Equis, Labatt's outside Canada and Le Cellier has a raft of fine bottled beers if you're eating there. In Norway, ask if they have Ringnes back, that used to be my favorite in WS but hasn't been available for more than a year. The Carlsburg that replace it isn't bad. You might consider walking through the International Gateway to the BoardWalk and stop in the Big River Brew Company where they feature specialty beer brewed in site.

Thank-you Bill sounds great, when I get back I'll let you know what I tried and how it was. The samples sound great!:cool1: :thumbsup2

We are goingfrom 2/28-3/10. I hope to see some of my fellow DISers on this trip.

I've started to get the summer clothes gathered....good to know that it is mostly short and T-shirt weather with an extra layer just in case. Now just have to try and track down those sunglasses for DS's. I know they all have a pair but who knows where they are???:confused3

Only 22 days left for me! DM and I are totally psyched!! She hasn't been to WDW since 1995, can you believe it?!:scared1: It's always fun to be gathering up shorts and stuff while it's snowing outside! :rotfl:
