Official Survivor Gabon thread

I was happy Bob won but I would have been happy with Sugar as well. Susie, not so much.

I think this as one of the most bitter juries in a long time. That would seem to explain how Susie could get any votes.

We stayed up way past our bedtimes to see who won. My house was very happy to see Bob get the money! We were rooting for him all along. Loved that he practiced his firemaking to be ready for a tie breaker. I could have lived with Sugar winning - I suspect she could be annoying to live with but she played a good game. Susie would have really annoyed me - I never really felt that she even knew what was going on. She didn't deserve to win.

Bob is also a home town favorite since we are only 75 miles from Portland!

While Bob did great at the challenges, I just don't think he played a strong enought outwit/social game to win the million. I agree with the PP who said this jury was so bitter. I just think Bob didn't make enough strategic moves to win the million (First Marcus/Corinne were calling the shots, then Sugar basically kept him in the game).

I think strategically Sugar should have won the game. I think she made a mistake not voting Bob out and she REALLY didn't help her case at the final Tribal. I am not upset that Bob won, I just think Sugar played a more complete game.

Sugar played a more complete game only from the strategic move part. She didn't do well at challenges and from the sounds of the reunion show, she wasn't very good at the social part of the game.

Bob wasn't outwardly strategic in the traditional sense of the game but he even admitted that he wasn't, partly because he didn't have to be. That in itself is somewhat strategic. Unlike some players who just ride other people's coat tails. In this version, that would be Susie and Crystal.

The poll showed that even if Sugar had voted Bob out, Matty would have won the million bucks.

I was glad that Bob won. I thought that Kenny was being a jerk in that he was trying to hold Bob to a deal where Kenny was breaching the deal. The use of the fake immunity idol was a good idea and Kenny should not complain that he was fooled. Bob's story about Marcus hiding the idol was very well done and Kenny's vote against Bob was just Kenny being a bad sport.

I agree with you and didn't Bob and Kenny agree while on the reward that Bob would give Kenny the idol if he thought Kenny was in danger?

He did but Kenny's whine was Bob initally told him if he won he would give it to him. Then on the reward Bob changed the terms to if Kenny was in danger. Kenny may have had some leg to stand on if he was voted off but he was safe so it was really irrelevant anyway.

Bob is on ther morning show now.

Corinne thinks she is such a cool mean girl but really she just looked pathetic.

She's an idiot! I can't believe how cruel she was to Sugar. No matter what Sugar did to anyone she didn't deserve to be spoken to in that manner. I thought it was funny that Jeff Probst called her (I think this is what he said) "the most dispicable character in 17 seasons." I thought Randy was very funny last night. I'm so happy Bob won and Kenny did not! I can't even believe how he carried on about the idol. Like Bob is stupid enough to give him the idol knowing he was about to be blind sided. But Kenny did say last night that his major mistake was getting too cocky. He sure was!! My friends son has Bob as a teacher this year and he said that he is such a nice man! Way to go Bob! You've made Maine proud!!

Kenny, I thought it was cool that he admitted to being to cocky.

Matty, I wish he had been in the final 3.

Susie, nice person but should have been out long ago.

Sugar, I wish she had at least won the hundred grand.

Bob, way to go!

I hate it when a jury bases the votes on sour grapes.
Corrine is just a disgusting person.

Hey,

Loved wathcing the finale and the season of Survivor.

DH and I was routing for Bob and yes he won it!!!

Yes, I too really liked Sugar. Did you see how PRETTY she was when she was all made up.

Glad Susie didn't win.....she did nothing stragetically, no mental game playing, a coat rider

Question

Did they show what jury voted for whom?

I remember seeing Kenny pacing back and forth. Who did Kenny voted for to win?

One of the most predictable finales…who didn’t think Bob would win? It would have been a lot more interesting if it had been Bob, Matty & Sugar.

I’m glad that Sugar didn’t kiss anyone’s booty for votes. She knew she didn’t have Randy or Corrine’s vote anyway. Nice to see her give Corinne the finger. :thumbsup2

Corrine is a wannabe. She acts like this big villain who says what’s on her mind…except not really. When Sugar was giving her that lesson in how to treat people, Corrine just sat there & took it. Then she went running to Randy to say how furious she was! Loser.

Of all the challenges Bob, the physics teacher could have difficulty at, anyone raise an eyebrow that he couldn't build a house of cards??? Interesting.
I kept saying that to DH while the challenge was on. :confused3 I bet that's one of the things his physics class discusses.
And I don't get Susie's comment that Bob wasn't happy enough when she won that final immunity challenge. C'mon....Susie went back to camp and was basically rubbing it in Bob's face, over and over and over "I can't believe I won".

And Kenny!! GET OVER IT ALREADY!
I agree. Susie was complaining that Bob was happy for other immunity idol winners in the past, but not for her. Geez, he did congratulate her, and that last challenge has to be THE MOST IMPORTANT immunity challenge to win, because it guarantees you a spot in the final 3. And with it looking seriously like Bob was guaranteed OUT at that point, how happy was he supposed to be for her? And she just wouldn't SHUT UP! Annoying creature.

Kenny has ***** thinking that Bob should have sacrificed the immunity idol once he knew Kenny was going to turn on him as a result. What a whiney little ***. The "fine print" comments were hilarious!

::yes::

I don't think so. Does anyone know? I can make some assumptions, but then again, I never would have assumed that Susie would get any votes. I kept saying after she won immunity that at least it will be down to Sugar and Bob, because NO WAY could Susie get any. I thought it was pretty intense when Jeff read the votes. I love when it comes down evenly and there's one vote difference...very exciting. But I'm relieved it wasn't Susie in the end!

Just watched the Ponderosa videos last night for the first time...interesting! Marcus and Charlie were hilarious, coordinating their outfits. But why do they need to wear cloaks to and from Tribal Council?? Who could see them that it would give them away? Are they hiding from the rest of the production crew? Because there are A LOT of them and I guess it might be difficult to keep it quiet if that many people know. I guess that's why they have to go through that big production to get to and from Ponderosa, rather than stay closer.

I believe that Matty voted for Susie.

I think Matty voted for Susie, too, and probably Kenny and Crystal.
