**Official Sept 2010 Thread** Please post your dates and resort

We'll be returning for our 2nd trip to WDW Sept. 20 - 28, staying off site. Looking forward to our first MNSSHP.

Anyone been at this time? Just wondering what the crowds are like at that time of year.
Any suggestions/best advice for MNSSHP?

We booked bounceback with free dining (it will be our fourth time :woohoo:) We booked Sept 22-Oct 5 right now...will shorten our dates when we finally decide on the exact dates. Have Pop booked, again, but thinking about maybe a change of pace next year and possibly moving to Music!

We went down in Sept the last two years.. Sept 25-Oct 4, 2008 and
Sept 17-27, 2009.. crowds weren't bad at all.. most rides either walk on or easily down by utilizing fast pass... I will say.. the days that there was a Fantasmic made DHS SO much more crowded it was insane.. so I suggest avoiding it that day if you can (or just knowing ahead of time).. it's been cut back so much it made it difficult.. but who knows what the Fantasmic schedule will be like last year...

I think this year we picked the perfect time.. we're not big on food and wine but we did get 2 days of it at the end of our trip.. the parks seemed to pick up a bit more too once food and wine started... if they do food and wine again at the same time it looks like you picked a great time.. it started the Sept 25 this year (with a preview Sept 24).. so you should have part without it..

it was VERY hot this year.. we ordered water bottles from Garden Grocer.. an online service that delivers groceries to your hotel.. and I'm SO glad we did because we would have been buying tons and tons of water bottles otherwise..

If you can pick a MNSSHP on a weeknight.. we we're there Sept 22 (Tuesday) and the crowds weren't bad at all.. we did the second parade and had a great spot.. plenty of room on Main Street to watch Hallowishes.. lines for photos and characters did seem quite a bit long.. so plan ahead and get there early..

Hope that helps!! :goodvibes

I have started planning on trip for the end of Sept 2010. I am thinking about returning to POP. I am kinda holding out on booking because I really want free dining to be offered again. :)

 We'll be there Sept 18-25 for my birthday! We're staying for the first time at the GF !! (can't wait!!) Hoping so much for free dining or some kind of pin code......:cheer2:

Thanks so much for the advice, I am really looking forward to it. And, it would be wonderful if we could catch a few days of the food and wine festival!

I am really looking forward to our trip next year! This will be my first time gong value, but I've heard TONS of great things about POP! I'm getting anxious for park hours and flight times to be listed so I can get to work with our touring plans! It's going to be my family (DH, DS-4, and DD-2) plus my BFF and her BF.

DH thinks I'm crazy for planning this far ahead!

what are bounce back trips? I am assuming if you put a deposit down before you leave, you get a deal of some sort??

We'll be going September 20-25, staying at POFQ! I'm excited because we're taking two good friends of ours that have never been!

Booked bounceback in September when we were there! Decided on French Quarter!
So excited! Is it time to pack yet? No? How about make adr's? Not yet? Ok, I'll just go watch my WDW Planning DVD again!!!! :happytv:

We heard about the bounceback offers through the DIS and this will be our second time using one. It's a deal that Disney puts out for guests staying at Disney resort hotels (usually on a flyer). If you book your next trip while still on your current one they offer you a deal (like free dining and base tickets.. which is what our offer is). They give you certain dates. I've heard of all different kinds, but ours has been for the following September (while on our trip this past September). You have to put down a deposit and you're suppose to call and book the trip before you check out.

If you're interested in this keep an eye on the DIS. There have been threads the last two years and thats how I've heard about it. The flyer is suppose to be in your room, but ours hasn't been. We asked at the front desk this past year and almost got turned away when another CM finally realized what we were talking about and got a flyer for us.

I have been planning this trip since my grand daughter was born 12/10/05
She is the first girl in a long line of boys.
I have all brothers, sons, nephews.

So the day she was born I told her the year she turns 5 will be the year I show her the "other" Princesses.

Sept 18th thru the 25th for us. Staying at Pop Century.
Really wanted the Corando Springs Resort but at 600 more per room by 4 rooms thats a lot of money.

First time for MNSSHP for all of us.
Havent been since 2001 since my honey thinks disney is for little kids. (sigh)
Now we have a grand daughter and boy did his tune change

This will be our 4th stright year to go down n the fall. We will be doing the Disney Dining plan again using the bounce back we got this year. It's alot of fun planning throughout the year for the ADR's. We really love Pop because it is so central and a great value. We'll be returing to the MNSSHP again - this year was hot and crowded. But it's a family get together - others come down as well and we have a blast!:cool1::thumbsup2

You can add us to the list of bouncebackers!

September 8-22, 2010

3rd annual Mommy and Me Vacation to celebrate DD hitting the double digits...she'll be 10!

Thanks for the heads up! Do you know if it is for only a specific time period? I am thinking of a trip in May 2011 before I start my PhD the following fall. Would we be eligible for a bounce back trip then? :goodvibes

When we were there last Dec, it was only for specific resorts and specific times. Usually, they would offer bounceback for same time the next year in Sept since many people return year after year for free dining. Check the resort thread to see what BB offer was available during Sept this year and it will give you a good idea of what will be offered next year.

We are heading back to WDW on the 21st Sept - 5th Oct staying at POR. :cool1: only 297 days to go :sad2:
