My two teenage boys and I are going from September 5- the 14th and we'll be staying at POP.

We had gone many years ago when their father and I were still married and I'd promised them that we would go again when they were older (and tall enough to ride the thrill rides). Then their father and I divorced and I worried that I wouldn't be able to get them back there as I'd promised... But I've saved and pinched pennies and this year we're able to go!

I've worried that as a single mom I was out of my mind for attempting such a thing, but I've found some threads here and there and I know that such vacations aren't really all that unusual.

Can't wait!

That's so awesome. I am basically a single mom with 4 boys. I have taken my boys to Disney by myself a few times. (Although their dad did come with us this last time.) My boys are a lot younger than yours too. You are not out of your mind. I hope you all have a great time. My boys and I stayed at POP, and they liked it.

I'm sure I'll be a lot more active on the boards as the time gets closer. The last time we went, I didn't do a lot of research and we ended up missing a lot. There is so much information available and so many people who are willing to give advise and opinions. It's an invaluable resource.

We are going September 20 - 29 and staying at the CSR for the 8th time!

I've finally managed to persuade my girlfriend to come with me to POP for two weeks, from Sepetember 2nd-September 16th!

We'll be celebrating a lot of things while we're there - first time away together, first time on holiday with no parents, GF's first Disney trip ever, her 18th birthday (although it's technically 3 days before we go ), our exam results (hopefully!) and going to university two weeks after we come back (hopefully again!).

I am soo excited, but trying not to scare her with my militant planning - as a Disney virgin, she doesn't quite understand my planning obsession

I've only ever been in July/August, is it true that the parks are fairly quiet during September in comparison? How about on Labor Day weekend?

My immediate family was already booked for September 5th thru September 12th. We are staying at Movies. Then my brother got back together with his ex and is going to take his children for their first trip to WDW. I cannot wait to see my nieces face when she sees the castle for the first time. This is going to be truly magical to share this with them.

We are going to be celebrating my daughters birthday. Can't wait!
