When we have been to WDW during Spring break, the parks always seemed to open earlier than the "official" posted time. I started to ask when they would open the following day as I was leaving the park. Does this difference only happen at peak times? And does it still happen? :confused3

I have read this too. In all my visits, I have only been to one rope drop. It was at AK in 04. I can't remember if it was exactly on time or not.

I have read somewhere that it opens about 1/2 hr befoire the offical opening. but I would love to hear an EXPERTS voice on this.

I used to notice them opening 5 minutes late, but a couple weeks ago and they were all opening exactly on time. If they are opening early, I'm never there for it.

They will sometimes let you into the front of the park before officially opening, but you can't ride anything. It just shortens the long lines at the turnstyles.

I'm no expert, though!
