Official October Code Watch

Got the scoop on code FEL for October and November.

It is for check-in days 10/21 - 10/27 and 10/28 - 11/3 and be at least a 2 night stay.

In November it is for check-ins 11/11 - 11/17.

Values receive a $20 gift card and moderates a $50 gift card.

We just booked Oct 31 - Nov 3 with the FEX code. Do I just call & ask them to change it to the FEL code? I'm new with this whole code thing, being that I'm normally doing a DVC resi. :confused3

Yep just call back and have them change the code, then you can get the dining card.

I also just booked with the FEX code. I think I may be calling back for this since I'm a little worried about them giving me all 3 of our rooms the AP rate. On the AP thread someone posted that they can change my rate at check-in. Do you get this gift/dining card with each AP rated room or are you only allowed one? We do have 2 AP's.

I would think that if it is 2 seperate reservations they would give you 2 cards.

I heard from my TA and she can't get any AP rates for the GF or Poly for us yet. Hoping they load more, but it's not looking good!

Question from a new AP holder/Disney Reservation maker: :lmao:

Can you not get the AP discount with the Magic Your Way package added to the room? We want the dining plan so we added 1 day park tickets to our 7 day reservation and then will just use the AP for the rest of the time. But can you only use the AP discount on room only reservations?

Because now I'm stuck with the dilemma to book room only with the discount, versus booking the package with no discount. :confused3

Any help would be much appreciated!

Nope... I called 2 hrs. ago to apply my AP to my CR & Poly ressies. Neither resort was offering AP codes.
I could have moved to the WL/concierge for $50. (total) less for either entire stay..but...didnt want to give up the monorail stays & not fond of the WL.. too dark for me.

 I am so glad I check in on the disboards throughout the day and found out they released the AP rates after I called this morning. I was on hold for a bit and got a wonderful CM who was able to post the AP rate to my current AAA reservation. I saved a little over $60.00. I am going for 17 days so the original CM I spoke to months ago when I made the reservation split the reservation into 2 8-night reservations so discounts could be applied to all nights (there seems to be a 14 night limit on all discounts ). When I called to do the AP this morning she was only able to get the preferred AP for my first 8-night reservation. But she said "wait..let me see what magic I can do " Well, sure enough, she worked her magic and changed my first reservation to 4 nights and the second to 12 nights and was able to keep my preferred view for the entire 16 nights.

Then, the magic continues...I come here to post my discount and read about a $20.00 disney card being given to passholders for certain dates. I call back and get another great CM who checked my reservation and yes, I do qualify for the $20.00 card and she said that also my second reservation does as well. So, I saved $60.00 on reservations and got two free $20.00 disney dining cards. (actually, the "cards" get added to the room key when I check in she said)

I'm really bummed out this morning!

Nothing available for the Grand Floridian. The only thing available for French Quarter was a standard view room with double beds instead of our water view king (which is what we stayed in when we got engaged).

I passed up on the POFQ because of it. This sucks!

17 DAYS??? Will you adopt me? :thumbsup2

Just called back and changed to the FEL code for 2 of our rooms. The CM stated that you get a free dining card ($50 for moderates) with each AP that you use to book with.

Thanks cobbler for explaining all this!

(Cross posting this from my trip report, because I'm too lazy to type twice!)

Well, THAT kinda sucked.

I asked about AP discounts, and was told that all that was available was AKL, POR, and Pop. Eep!

When I asked about AKL, he said standard was $185/nt, and I asked if that included tax, he said yes. I asked about savannah, and he said $220/nt. WOW! That's cheaper than I paid back in January!

Um, I should have noticed that something was wrong with that.

I decided to go ahead and book savannah, since that's such a great rate, and what's an extra $20 each for savannah?

So, I give him my info, and then when he gets to the amount I'm being charged as a deposit, he says $286.87!

I guess the $220 was before tax

I went ahead and booked it, but I'm going to call back later (when I'm more awake) to change it. $220 for a savannah view is great, but $286 we just can't do!

I'm also hoping that if I check for just a few of the days, WL or BC will be available. I really shouldn't have called right after waking up- I wasn't on my game at all! (Forgot to ask about the dining card, too, and it wasn't mentioned!)

I think I'll call back around 3pm, when the poor folks who have been listening to us whine all morning will be gone, and fresh blood will be in!

Well something doesn't add up. $220 a night with tax = $247.50.

$286.87 is about $255 a night before tax.

Hey Crystal! Keep checking back over the next few weeks. My experience EVERY time AP rates have come out is very limited availability the first day, a bit more the next few days and beyond. I've tried booking at 8am the day they come out and had a choice of 3 resorts - tried again a few weeks later and had my choice of 6 resorts. :confused3 I don't even pretend to get it!
