senecabeach....new at this and need some hand holding. Who are you specifically calling and what are you asking for? Called MS yesterday to check on my current Oct. reservation at BCV and add the DDP and ME. While on the line I asked about AP rates and she said that wasn't her department and I would have to be transfered to someone who handles that. What's that all about???? I was also having trouble logging into the DVC website and needed to be transfered to online support. I took care of that and figured I'd get a better answer here about checking the discounts. Thanks for your help.

sorry, I'm not senecabeach, but thought I'd answer your question. DVC doesn't handle AP rates. Those are handled through CRO (now known as the Walt Disney Travel Company). Many of us are calling the 800# daily and when that first CM says AP rates are out for dates after 9/29, you'll see it posted here almost immediately! HTH!

AP = Annual Pass Rates. They release discount codes for annual pass holders and then shortly after codes come out for general public. They only release certain time frames at a time so we are all waiting for the ones that usually cover Sept 30 thru early December.

We're going Oct. 16-22. Definitely hoping for a code! Anyone know if any codes for Disney Visa Rewards cardholders have come out?

They do offer codes for the public and for packages...sometimes. It is never guaranteed that they will offer a discount code, and comparing the recent releases to years past there are less than before. They did do more emails and mailing promos this year though...at least it seems that way.

Also going back for the first time since I was a young teenager. Taking my Family (4 kids) Going 10/8 - 10/15, would also love some tips on the halloween party and purchasing tickets (where to get good price) . Staying in Fort Wilderness just like 25 yrs ago.
