What movie did you watch? I'm the same way....I'm always watching Disney stuff on YouTube as I prepare for my trips.

When do they usually release the schedule? I have been to Disney a few times but I don't remember having to wait to find out the park hours etc.

Cierese, would you be able to add me to the roll call? I'm staying at the Beach Club from Oct 10 - Oct 17

What movie did you watch?

We watched this movie called Ultimate Disney World and Undiscovered Disney Parks. Mostly to show my DD5 who is 47 inches tall, what rides she would be able to ride when we go there

We have amazon prime so it was free to watch both movies

she has been very eagerly eating her vegetables at dinner time because she has to grow once inch in order to be able to ride the rock n roller coaster

Am I the only one who is really anxious for the park hours to be released and the schedule of events to be posted?
This will be my first trip. DH has gone many times as a child with his family- but this will also be our DD5 first time.
We actually just watched a Disney Parks Movie from amazon last night because we are THAT excited.

We are ALWAYS that excited. Even if we aren't going, I order the travel planning DVD and park maps. I'm waiting on the park schedule and the YES classes to be released. Really.. just everything. We even make several sets of plans based on 'what if's'. It's so funny... my DS14 usually complains to me about how I'm too OCD with the planning, but at the doctor's office today, I could hear him chatting with an older lady in the waiting area about how much I plan and how it really saves on headaches, arguments and wasted time. I don't over obsess over park crowd levels as much as I do with planning classes, MNSSHP, ADRs and making sure we hit up ALL rides/attractions/shows in all parks at least once during our trip. The rest is free time.

What do you mean by classes?

Individual enrollment classes through Disney's Youth Education Series (YES). My kids get to take educational classes while we enjoy a bit of a discount on tickets. They get to enter the parks early and go behind the scenes. They are really great. My kids love them AND they help with finding 'educational purpose' to a Disney vacation if taking them out of school. Right now the classes through July are what's posted so I'm hoping in the next 3 months they'll release the October dates.

Individual Enrollment: Disney Youth Education Series
Come One, Come All
As few as one student and up to nine students are welcome to take part in the Disney Youth Education Series with the Individual Enrollment option. On select dates at Disneyland® Resort in California and Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, Individual Enrollment allows homeschoolers, virtual students, community groups and vacationing guests to participate in this magical in-park learning experience.

Disney Youth Education Series programs take place in the information-rich setting of the Disney Parks in Florida and California to give students a hands-on, educational adventure.

I LOVE the planning. We just went the first week of December, and I planned that trip for a little over a year. :goodvibes
It turned out almost perfect, with waits very low, great weather, and great character meals!
This October trip is short, and mainly for the MNSSHP but I am thinking of getting a one day park hopper and hitting Epcot for EMH at 8am for an hour, then head to HS for a couple of rides. Or getting a 2 day tix and hitting HS Monday evening.
Still debating this, going to keep an eye on waits to see what is doable.
Last Feb I got the great deal on tickets thru Ebates/Orbitz, so I am hoping to narrow down my plans so I know what kind of ticket I need by Feb incase the deal is offered again. :)

Haha We also ordered the Disney Planning Dvd, I cannot wait for it to come to watch it with DD5. DH thinks we are crazy because every night we look at ride times on MDE Ipad app lol

My trip with my DS6 this past June was use the Ebates/Orbitz tickets deal and hotel... I even lucked out with the Delta glitch and paid $78 total for 2 RT flights. Thanks for the reminder that this was in Feb. This deal turned out to be better for us then through YES. I'm fighting hard not to plan a trip in June for just my DD12 and I this year.. I'm trying to keep reminding myself the money goes towards a new (to me) car and Disney in Oct....

We need to buy a new roof :( We found out about a week after we booked our October trip. There is no way I'm cancelling this trip! LOL In the mean time, I'm saving saving saving.

We always have some emergency pop up right before our trips. Oct '13, my dog needed emergency surgery a week prior and this past Jun my water heater went out and leaked everywhere. If it's not one thing, its another. Here's hoping for nothing major happening this go round.

Just booked our short trip in October!! Super excited! I'm going to try and squeeze a lot in just a few short days.

We're in for October 10th to 17th (our Canadian Thanksgiving). Arrival and departure dates may change by a tiny bit once flights are released, but it will be that week for sure.

After 1 December, 2 January and 3 August trips, this will be our first visit in October! We have two other weeks planned for this year as well, one week in May and Christmas week in December.

For this October trip, we will be staying in our villa at Sheraton Vistana Resort and doing all Universal (we have purchased Premier AP's). We are super excited to experience Halloween Horror Nights for the first time. Depending on how the budget goes, we may also try to squeeze in a MNSSHP. Can't wait to experience the parks in all their Halloween finery! :)

Good luck! Thankfully the roof thing didn't come up RIGHT before the trip, it's more just an inconvenience. We thought we had another couple of years at least before we had to replace it but we had a really bad storm this past fall that literally stripped a couple years off it ;)

welcome! We will be in Florida the same week :) We will be staying at the Beach Club those dates but I think we might be adding a couple of days on to the end for Universal :) I have been to Disney many times but I haven't been to Universal since I was a kid.

We'll be going that week too. Our plan right now is to stay at Bonnet Creek. We go thru RCI and have a request in for it. If we can't get that then we will probably stay at the Sheraton Vistana. We stayed there before and found it to be a very nice resort!

Plans are still loosey goosey, but we should be there over Columbus Day Weekend at one of the Epcot Resorts or Wilderness Lodge.

We've never been to the Halloween party and I can't wait to check it out. Halloween is my jam!
