Hi All!

Happy labor weekend! Hope everyone is enjoying a nice long weekend!

I've been MIA! We spent a long weekend in San Diego/Anaheim last weekend. Spent two nights at the Disneyland HOtel and spent one day at Disneyland. it was fabulous! I even took a few pics of some halloween merch, so will post later. Now catching up on work and life in general and focusing on our BIG trip in just 42 DAYS!!! i can't believe I am almost to the 30s!!

Still so much to do. It was DH's 40th bday Wednesday and my 38th next Saturday! I know I am getting some disney gift cards! woo hoo- I think i will use some towards our MNSSHP tickets and save some for shopping. I usually put all my shopping on the disney rewards Visa, since you can save and earn points. So i probably won't take much cash, just save it to pay the card off later!

still have to book a car, but not having good luck on getting a rate like i had last year for the companies I want- going to mess with it more this week and try and get that booked, as well as my gardengrocer order! woo hoo! slowly things are being checked off the list.

As for the additional Fantasmic shows....I was sort of disappointed. We picked a night w/ no shows so we could avoid those crowds and now they have it on our DHS night. ugh! And I am not moving my schedule around now, since some of my ADRs would be too hard to get again at the times i want. So we are just going to stick with the original schedule and avoid that part of the park at closing. The show is at 7:30 and it says it closes at 7:30 that night. Here's hoping it isn't too bad!

well time to head out of work! have a great one!

So I think we are going to upgrade to the hopper option when we get to Disney. DH wanted that anyways, but I was being cheap. And that will make everything ok for Wishes, and any other thing we want to change our minds on while there.
Park Hoppers are awesome. Never been without them. And we end up at EPCOT everyday, so they are a necessity.

Just wanted to see my ticker.
I think I will allow that. LOL :rotfl: :goodvibes

I've been wondering where you went! Happy early birthday!!! I think I am going to wait until closer to October (or even in October) to book the rental car. They're just too expensive right now!

And I agree about F! By all accounts, the F! show is going to increase the crowds. Blah!!!

I saw that a couple of you are looking for rental car pricing to get better.....

I am able to get a double discount....1 = discount on car the other is free upgrade.

I just checked for Budget pick up at Orlando Airport October 20-29 and the price I was able to get was $237 (total with tax) that is for a compact with a free upgrade to an intermediate.

Intermediate SUV is $291.

If you like these prices just let me know and I can give you the codes.

Change in my reservation, we are going to CSR instead of POP. This made our honeymoon even better. Hopefully the weather is great! :D

OMG. So, big surprise in the mail today! Our Magical Express tags arrived. :cool1: And all I could think was "holy crap. We are really doing it. We are going to WDW!" I think it just made the trip all that more real to me! DBF thought I was nuts running around the house shouting "mickey mail! mickey mail!" LOL.

On another note, we went to DL today just for a visit (we are local after all), and all I kept thinking about is how weird it's going to be to be at a park where I have no idea where everything is like the back of my hand. LOL. I told DBF he has to study the maps so we don't look like the usual newbies.

Have a great, and safe holiday weekend everyone.

TTAfanatic, I've been wondering about you lately because I knew we had talked about the possibility of you moving from POP. I kept checking the first page to see if you ever changed resorts. Looks like I can't finally stop wondering!:rotfl:

To all my October peeps,
I hope everyone has a fun, safe holiday weekend. We arrived in Pittsburgh about an hour ago.Tomorrow is the UD football game, and then we are doing a couple touristy (is that a word?) things tomorrow night. We plan to do the Pittsburgh Zoo on Sunday unless it rains, then we will hit a children's museum or two. We're headin' back to Ohio Sunday night. After this trip, I've got to start painting DH's leopard print Ken shirt. I think it will take a long time, but it will be sooo worth it!:lmao: Have a great weekend, everyone! Goooooo Dayton Flyers!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

 Oct 8 - 15 CBR - first time at WDW - where should we request to stay for easy transport to the park?

TTAfanatic, got your updated resort on the first page. Welcome, Coopers2006, ses1230 and livingfire. You are all listed on the first post now.

I'm listening to U2's "Magnificent" at top volume in my office right now. Truly one of my favorite songs, let alone top U2 song. I just love what The Edge does with the guitar in the song.....so beautiful.

Anyway....I think I'll start packing when everyone wakes up. With Disney music or movies on in the background, of course. The kids won't need their swimsuits from here on out and I've got some shirts and jammies that I've set aside so I can pack that as well (the kids always get a new pair of jammies on the first day of our trip).

Have a great day everyone and please stay safe this weekend!:goodvibes

Welcome! :cool1: You'll have decent access to the bus stops at CBR from almost anywhere. We were in Jamaica in 2009, which is the farthest from the food court and everything else and we were close to the bus stop. I'd suggest being at Trinidad North or Martinique if you want to be close to Old Port Royale, where the food, pool, bar and merchandise is. Otherwise you may wind up with close to a 20 minute walk just to get there like we did, which was very, very inconvenient. Jamaica was nice because it was quiet, but it was unbelievably inconvenient for easy access to food or help from the front desk.

50 days today!! :woohoo: We're in the 40s tomorrow so I wanted to celebrate my last day in the 50s. It's getting so close now - in the 40s tomorrow! OMG!!!! :scared1: I'm starting to freak out with how much I have to get organized! Eh, who am I kidding? I'm a last minute packer anyway!!

Wahoo!! Only 28 more days for us! We are staying Oct 1-8.

We are totally ready for a vacation too, we haven't had power since Saturday 2pm (yup, that's right a whole week!) And to top it off I'm working 10 days in a row due to the way schedules worked out! Bring on WDW please!!!!! :cheer2:

For those of you looking for a rental car - if you don't care who you rent from, you might want to check out Priceline. Last time, my DH got a car for a week for $6/day!
