Hi all, we are about 26 days away and as I prefer to think only three more weekened I did my shopping for the last of my items needed this weekend but for the life of me couldn't find the disposable ponchos anywhere. NExt weekend is out as I have plans both days, the following and the weekend before me leave I have events both days as well. So that leaves one weekend to get the rest of my stuff and pack. Getting excited.....

Hello my DISfamily! I have been busy again, I know I use that excuse ALOT! But it is true. One good thing about being busy is that I have purchased me a iPad2. So tonight while at work, and I say I will do this IF I have time between patients and admissions and putting out fires, I will update the list. I know some of you are probably at WDW as I type this and I hope you are having a GREAT time! Having the iPad2, I can get online more often. So I will hopefully see you all tonight. Love you all!

Wow I really wish I had more time to DIS so I could stay caught up with everyone, but I can't. Oh well time has really flown by. 3 weeks from today we will be there! I can't believe I will be in the teens tomorrow. Hope everyone who is already there is having a Magical Time!

Just wanted to pop in.. We are heading to Coronado Springs from 10/23-10/29. We are at the MSSHP on the 27th. Cant believe how quick the past few months are and then we will be there!!!

Nice.. We are still trying to figure out costumes.. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. DD13 is being a stick in the mud.. We were thinking of all going as the incredible but of course she wants to be different!! Where are you staying?

I did my shopping for the last of my items needed this weekend but for the life of me couldn't find the disposable ponchos anywhere.

Not sure where you live, but I buy mine at Wal-Mart. They are in the camping section, usually hidden on a bottom shelf somewhere. $1 each. Employees never know where they are..and will deny they have them.

Just check the size of the disposable ones, too. They fit the girls just fine(a little big for the 5 year old but worked), fit me ok, but was like a snug coat for Brent. It was pretty comical and we ended up buying Disney ponchos.

The really inexpensive rain ponchos are very thin. My husband doesn't like them at all. If it's raining hard it's worth the money to buy a more expensive one. We purchased the ones they sell at the World and we just bring them with us every year. It was worth $7.50 each or whatever it is they cost since we are able to use them over and over.

Oh, and people who have never used rain ponchos always ask what I am wearing in our photos. We have a picture of me with Donald and Daisy and my mother said "I know who they are but who are you supposed to be?"

28 days!

And I'm kinda ashamed to admit this, but we finally payed off our what was left on Saturday. Right on the 30 day mark. Oops. But the good news is, it's completely paid off and I have that off my chest! Just have to buy our MNSSHP tickets for Oct 25th.

Now just to finish my clothes shopping. Still trying to get our costumes all in order!

I haven't been on here in awhile! My son 2 1/2 was diagnosed with ITP (platelet disorder)last month. He is doing good but we were thinking we might have to cancel our trip! His dr said as long as his platelets are up the week before we go he will be ok to go! Also my daughter has been sick with strep throat and they think she may have mono. She seems better today so I am hoping the mono test comes back negative b/c I am not sure she can go to disney with mono.
I was trying not to get too excited about our trip in case we have to cancel but I really am getting excited!!
Are there any reports of anyone that has been to the MNSSHP this year?
Also what is everyone dressing up as? I think we are all being pirates but I still have to get costumes that are easy to pack.

I like thinking in weekends too! 3 more weekends for us!!!

I wound up ordering mine on Amazon because I couldn't find them anywhere! I looked at several dollar stores and Target. Never made it to Walmart, though. Good luck!

Yes, I know what you mean about trying not to get too excited in case you have to cancel. Our trip is in 11 days. We found out in early August that my father in law has thyroid cancer that has spread to his lungs. He gave us a scare over the weekend. He couldn't breathe and had to go to the hospital. He recently had a biopsy and they said it caused swelling that is pushing on the tumors and hindering air passage. They have him on steroids to try and reduce the swelling but in the meantime he is in ICU and on a ventilator. They were originally saying he might be able to go home tomorrow so hopefully that holds true so he can pursue whatever treatment is next - he was originally supposed to have radiation treatment thru 9/29 and then after that they will decide if the next step will be chemo or surgery. I hope for everyone to be as healthy as possible and you won't have to cancel your trip.

I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. That's tough with thyroid cancer because it is so treatable if caught early. The good news is even in his lungs, it's still thyroid cancer. I'll be sending you good vibes as well!!! Hang in there!
