Booked my ADRs yesterday. I managed to get everything I wanted, but couldn't get BOG dinner for the night I really wanted so I grabbed a different night. Got HDDR for Thanksgiving, Tusker House, Bon Voyage, Ohana breakfast and dinner, BOG lunch and dinner, Whispering Canyon.

Also, just a reminder, try for a different party size! I really wanted an Ohana dinner around 5 on the 30th since MK is closing early and all they had was a 9:25 for a party of 2. I was able to get a 4:55 for a party of 3 though!

yuck!!! i cant get crystal palace! I found one for 355 and took it but its so early!! gotta talk it over with hubby tonight
the christmas party is really messing stuff up! (and no we are not going... no way i can pay that much ON TOP of the regular tickets etc.

trying to decide which one is better.
I wanted mama melrose fantasmic but the latest was was 3pm. no way. maybe later will open up.

kinda bummed.. i know free dining makes ressies hard to snag... but ultimately if the crowds are manageable ill be happy.

can someone point me in the direction of that reservation cancelation thread

DH made our ADR's this morning since he is up earlier than me with our fur kids. He was able to get almost everything we wanted but our times are WAY off so I will be doing some searching hoping things open up. Didn't get a BOG lunch so hopefully we can snag one of those. We still haven't upgraded to full dining plan. We have 4 sit downs planned so I need to crunch numbers to see if we should upgrade. One ADR I decided I wanted last minute was Crystal Palace. We have never done it, I wanted a breakfast buffet and Eeyore is my favorite so I thought it would be fun. Now I have to wait to see when the HEA dessert party opens up since we want to do the garden viewing party. And time to book MVMCP tickets!

Go to the forums, Disney's restaurants, dining reservations and you will see the cancelled threads there

You are so right! I had read that somewhere, about adding one to your party when looking for reservations. We are a party of 5 and most of the time, there was a better time or availability period for a party of 6 but not 5. As the morning has gone on though, I've been able to go back and tweak most of them down to 5.

We had a 10:40 at Tusker and we had breakfast AND lunch food I would keep that one.

I would keep 1040. 915 will be during peak touring time right when the park opens. If you keep 1040 you can do some attractions at RD and then head to breakfast/lunch (at that time you'll likely get to try both!)

Our window opened this morning. Got most of what we wanted at the times we wanted. But didn't see any availability for Akershus (PPO 11/28) or BOG Lunch (11/27 or 11/30) on the days we were looking. Even tried changing our party size.
Also BBB booked up real quick. We were looking for an afternoon and the earliest they had was 4:50. No mornings. Will have to look for a cancellation.

I'm glad everyone has been able to get most of what they want! I'm done with our trip except a few changes. We are 11/24-12/5. We may actually travel the 25th - it will depend on airfare, but I figured I'd play it safe.

I do agree to change up the party size if you are struggling. I've always searched for a party of 4, even when we were only 3 - it just worked better.

I was finally able to book the Fantasmic and parade dining today on the website - no idea why I was locked out of that until today but oh well - the times aren't the best for the dinner though so I will either keep trying or I will just keep my original non Fantasmic dinner.

I like the pre booking but at the same time it's so hard to know where you think you will be on what day overall. We do have some overlap, so I will cancel them once we have a better idea. The park hours for the rest of my trip should be out soon and my husband and I will sit down and figure out what we are doing. I will definitely post on the cancellation board when I cancel. I hate to overbook at the beginning, but given the fact that they fill up so quickly I usually have to do that until we figure out the details.

Additionally, everyone who is looking for a certain meal/time/etc should try the touring plans dining finder (that's not what it's called). It's free and from what I've heard works quite well.

I agree with this. If you can't get PPO then I would definitely give yourself some time to get in and do some park stuff early and then go eat. Our trip several years ago we had right around that time and really did get to eat the breakfast and lunch. It worked out well!

I hope I left some good stuff lol some things I had wanted didn't work out exactly but overall I'm happy and don't plan on doing any Modifications til closer to time

Ohana is tough to get. My husband and I were on two devices at the same time. He went for Ohana first while I did Be Our Guest. My sister-in-law was booking CP for all of us at the same time. For the 8am, I would try CP before BOG. By the time I was done booking BOG, there was only a 9:10 at CP left. I didn't see any Akershus or Via Napoli, so unless things change before Thursday, they may not be loaded into the system yet. There were lots of CM left and several B&C as well.

I was able to book Via Napoli lunch for 12/2. But other times may open up as people decide and cancel. All morning I've been able to drop a couple reservations as more preferred times became available due to people canceling. You can always try touringplans reservation finder if all else fails.

Can someone help me?! I don't know what I'm doing wrong and all these numbers are getting on my nerves and not adding up! I am traveling with my parents, myself and 3 kids (9, 5 & 3). We are booked for AoA family suite Nov 11-19, paid dining (the regular- not quick or deluxe) and 4 day base tickets. Our reservation total is $7,695.59... I'm trying to figure out their portion vs my portion. Does anyone know how to figure this out? I know their ticket portion is $745.50 and my ticket portion is $1,427.10. How can I figure out the dining and room? When I called Disney for a breakdown the lady told me to make fake reservations for 2 adults and another for 1 adult, 3 kids and then figure out the difference but that's not working either... Thanks, I'm sure someone is a lot better crunching numbers than I am

In case anyone is looking for CRT I think they just listed a lot more - I was looking (for a different restaurant in MK) on the 4th of December and a ton of lunch times popped up.

I had one yesterday for lunch for Nov 29th and was soooo excited then I checked the menu and realized the picky folks I'm with that would be a no go lol so I had to cancel that sucker.

Yay so ADR day was yesterday for us! I was up at 4:45 had to use the app bc my internet decided it hated me on Sunday evening so Verizon to the rescue (for once I normally despise them )

Ok had a few curve balls bc literally I hit refresh for Akershus breakfast at 5am and boom nothing I quickly hit lunch and was able to score a ressie!

So here they are
Sat Nov 25th Tusker House early Dinner
Sun Nov 26th Ohana early Breakfast (yay we should finish up and make it to MK just in time for the welcome show or shortly there after. I was not going to get this one but when BOG wasn't an option I chose this instead)
Monday Nov 27th Akershus early Lunch (getting lunch instead of breakfast opened us to Ohana because we didn't want 5 breakfasts)
Tuesday Nov 28th Christmas party day! Boma breakfast (staying AKL) will relax around resort after
Wednesday Nov 29th BOG early breakfast and Crystal Palace early dinner. (Really debating keeping the BOG since we will be out late the night before. Original plan was hit MK on Wed at lunch but we might come early and stay to lunch then rest and back again for Dinner and close
Thursday Nov 30th San Angel Inn late lunch
Friday Dec 1st (DD's 3rd birthday) Tratoria al Forno breakfast early (then we will hit HS for a few hours and then park hop to Epcot) and Coral Reef early dinner (only coming here for Dessert to celebrate birthday!!)
