Has anyone check recently to see if they can make FP+ selections yet? Anouther thread started today is reporting that Oct has opened up and they can even book FP+ without having been offered or ordered their magicbands.

I checked but as I figure nothing for me at fort wilderness.

There are four or so resorts that people are reporting have been added to testing today, for October. WL and FW not part of it. November maybe.

It came and went here. Maybe 15 minutes at the most. The sky turned dark gray and got so windy. Hopefully that's it for today!

We got hit again 15 minutes after soccer practice started this evening. I'm the coach and most of the parents had just left. It was quite a storm, I even had to pull over for a bit because the windshield wipers couldn't keep up.

About an hour after the first storm hit the heat came back, hopefully this storm keeps it away for good.

Well, the goal here is to get the kids to exercise the dogs and kill two birds with one stone. : ) we do have Abigail yard to run in though so I guess that helps.
Speaking of, I guess I'd better line up the kennel for our trip. Thanks for the reminder. : )
guess the storm headed your way after passing by us. It has been calm ever since. We still have our air in too..,I hate humidity!

My middle guy is the one who likes animals, and he exercises too much - I can't make him sit still. My older guy is my lump, and no dog is going to get him to move. He just wants to read all day.

Well, we're not doing ADRs this short trip but I booked the Barber Shop for DS11. I think he'll get a kick out of it and I realized that its a dollar cheaper than getting his hair cut at the mall. Go figure.

Now I have something booked. It feels like a real trip.

On an unrelated note - we seem to be having a major thunderstorm event her in MD. :-(

Yeah, I was shocked by the price of the haircuts, pretty cool. Of course I cut their hair so it is still more than I charge

Wow I definitely spoke too soon!! We got it too!!! Around 6:30 the sky opened up and the lightning, thunder and wind were crazy!!! Hope you got home safe!!!

I hate the heat and the kicker is that I didn't even really want a dog, mainly because I am lazy and didn't want to walk it. Just like you, it's a struggle for me to keep up with the DH, kids, and the house, and I really didn't want another responsibility. But I really do love her(see my avatar) and honestly she is the best dog and just as lazy as me! She loves her walks but if we didn't take her, she is content to sleep all day. And she doesn't like the heat either; whenever we put her out in the yard she just sits by the door waiting to come back in to the A/C.

Sounds like my kind of dog. I'm actually quite allergic so we can't have one anyway, but even if I wasn't my husband is not an animal person. If we lived on a farm and it was a working dog with it's own outside house that it lived in that would be different.

I called today at 2 am, another time it was 4 am so I guess you can call 24hrs

Excellent. I had no idea they would do that for non-refundable flights. That is totally cool. Guess I'll be stalking Jetblue's website, so far it looks like they went up though.

It's the boardwalk at Seaside. Absolutely heartbreaking. Devastated by Hurricane Sandy and rebuilt only to be destroyed by fire. Reports are saying it's 80% gone. I hear thunder rumbling and a pretty big storm is on the way so hopefully it will help.

It's down in Seaside which had been really trashed by Sandy. At least a lot of people wouldn't have been there today, but I can't believe the boardwalk is gone again. I don't think any of the Jersey folks here are near there, at least from what i remember.

Yeah, hit us at 6:15. I still can't believe we have power. I guess after Irene, Snowmageddon and Sandy all the weak trees are gone. Maybe this fall/winter won't be so bad.

Well here's one more report on how the surprise went. I did the big reveal on the 60 day mark. I created 5 bags with hint items in them and hints to the next bag location. Each hint referenced the park in some way and a location in our home.

Bag one hint... 1. Look where the little men live. ( this is a 7 dwarves reference, and a reference to a action figure collection in our basement) Inside the bag was a golf ball spray painted silver (thanks smitch)!!

2. The clue to the next bag was "look in the place where the stars shine and the engines roar." ( this is a reference to Hollywood studios stars and the lights motor action stunt show as well as to our sons room which is decorated with space and cars themes. Inside the bag was a glow wand!!

3. The next clue "look where the faeires and animals play in the mountains!" A reference to Animal Kingdom and Pixie Hollow as well as out daughters room, as it is decorated this way! In that bag were miniature mountains and plastic animals.

4. The 4th clue was "look where good eats are found!" A reference to the Food and Wine festival the week we go, and our own fridge!) The hint in the bag was a can of Dole Pineapple, ( the Poly !!!)

5. The fifth clue was "goto the place where your dreams are made" a reference to WDW in general and our bed room. Where the last clue was . A mouse trap! And a box containing her pin lanyard , mouse ears, and a note saying; YOUR GOING TO DISNEYWORLD IN 60 DAYS!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped me get here. She was really happy. It has been a long while since she smiled that way ( since her dad passed in May) Thanks for keeping me going and planning through the rough times! 57 days!!

I'm hoping to be able to surprise my DS by him waking up with a Magic Band on his wrist the morning we leave!

Otherwise I'll have to think about how to do it. News today of more resorts makes me very optimistic!
