come here and post questions and talk about being a mom. whether you have a 7 month old like me or a 18 year old leaving for college in the summer. chat here and have fun! :thumbsup2

I feel like the Worst Mother of the Year. DD's preschool teacher asked DH if DD3 had a UTI this morning and everything snapped into place: the bedwetting this week, the itching, the fever...

I've never done this before! :confused3 Took DD to the doctor immediately this afternoon and she's on 7 days of antibiotics. Y'all, seriously, I can't believe it took her teacher to tell us this. We just thought she was drinking too much juice before bedtime...

"my name is barkley-and i am a mom".

at this particular point in time i am questioning why the good lord chose to bestow on my children the genetic traits from me that he did-specificly those annoying ones i left behind in my youth.

my current mantra is 'lord, let me live long enough to see my daughter experience having a daughter entering puberty'.

My son will be 18 in a couple of days, and - oh - the mouth! He's very smart, he's a good kid. But the mouth! I want to duct tape it shut!

I'm ready to run away from home.

DD told me tonight that she wanted me to have a "real baby." She wants a sister because "I'm a girl. See?" and she holds her hands out. Of course, she doesn't remember the emegency C-sec, or the infections, or the PPD, or the spinal headaches.

Still, we ARE trying for #2. Funny how you forget those things until you put them in writing...

pixiedust: hang in there.

Well my name is dismom and I am a mom of four. All I can say is I am tired.Lets see, I had a sick two year old for a few days and now my eleven year old has a fever. My DD7 seems to flounce everywhere she goes and well the best way to describe DS7...the other day someone asked my DS11 what he wanted to be when he grows up.His response was"I don't know but I have to make alot of money".When asked why he said"to bail my brother out of jail". He is a good boy but he is impulsive and trouble seems to follow him around.
Raising children is the hardest job.....but the best.

Raising kids is hard...one minute I'm laughing the other I'm crying or pulling out my hair. Fortunately, my hairs is thick and there's more laughing than crying.... :wave2:

I had a daughter 7 months ago. I love her soooooooo much. Unfortunately I had to return to work when she was three months. But lucky for me and her my wonderful DH is home with her. He's such a wonderful father. I'm so happy with my life now. Being a mommy is so amazing. She's always so happy to see me when I come home. I love her to pieces. :goodvibes

So, how are all you mommies doing out there today? My 7 month old DD and I went to Target today to do a little Christmas shopping. She was good pretty much the whole time. She got just a tiny wit fussy towards the end. She got hungry so I fed her in the dressing room. The joys of motherhood! :goodvibes

My name is Karen and I have 2 boys 13 and 14. That is so hard for me to say, because just yesterday they were 3 and 4. At least it feels that way. We have the best relationship going. They are my Disney kids. They are cool and they still think that I'm pretty cool too. I know all their friends and I know all their teachers. I think we have the best mom/kid relationship ever, even though it is a lot of hard work at times.

I also have 134 7th/8th graders that I refer to as mine. That's where my boys go balistic and get very jealous. I love that it bothers them to share me. I understand their jealousy, because they still care and that's pretty cool too. :thumbsup2

Hi all! I am a mom to a very "busy" 2 year old, Kurt jr, and a very tempermental 6 month old, Aiden. I SAH with them. I love it and them. I am starting a sort of Pre-K schedule with Kurt jr. I figured if he was in daycare they would be doing certain things like arts and crafts and alphabet and numbers. We have been making Christmas decorations lately. We made a construction paper ring chain, and snowflakes. I put them on our tree, and I was asking DH if he thought it was silly, but he said he loves them!
Aiden is a GERD baby. We were nursing, then we switched to thickened formula(formula plus cereal), then we had to switch to Soy formula...I am attempting baby food, but he refuses the spoon. Not only that but lately he has been going on hunger strikes, refusing the bottle until he absolutely has to take. The ped said it was normal for GERD babies to do this, and he should outgrow it as soon as he starts solids...but he won't eat solids!

My 2 y/o can say Santa, and that has been the highlite of my week!

WAKE UP MOMMIES!!!! Lets get this thread going! Come on, sit and chat. My 7 month old DD is always SOOOO happy to see me when I get home. My DH takes care of her and he's jealous whenever she gets so happy to see me. He says that he never does that to her. It's only natural that babies like their mommy's more? :confused3

Hi, Mommies! My DDs are 7, 5 and 2. They have been fighting all day. It drives me crazy!

Hi, I'm TOV and probably one of the candidates for Worst Mother of the Year. :wave2:
I have a 2 1/2 year old DS who seems to be driving me to drink sometimes (although it's not entirely his fault). He has sensory issues and is extremely active, which almost always wears me out the point where I can't wait to go to bed.
We also almost NEVER to go McDonalds/other fast food resteraunts, which according to a friend of my mother's is a crime. :stir: He likes fast food, we just don't give it to him that often. The doctor gave us a diet (although it's not restrictive) to follow and gosh darnit, we're gonna follow it! :teeth:

Hi TOV!!! I remember you from, what was it, the Bump thread? :wave2: I think it's GREAT you don't go to fast food restaurants often. Too bad more people aren't like you. :confused3
