Just got back, but I don't have a lot to tell everybody since it poured on us most of the night Friday. We were at MK all day, then left to go back to the resort to change and returned just past 4pm. They had CM's directing MNSSHP guests to a separate enterance at that time. We got a wristband when we re-entered.

We just walked around, visited a couple of candy stops before our 5:25 ADR at LTT. That was fun, although just after we checked in there it started to rain and only let up for brief times the rest of the night. We spent a good deal of the night wearing ponchos under cover waiting for the parade that never happened. I don't know about the villians meet & greet. The fireworks were late due to the weather. We didn't get to do the trick-or-treat trail in Toontown because it was just pouring. I saw where they had a dance party station at Ariel's grotto, but it was deserted.

We were able to ride HM and PoC each once - got stuck on both for 15 - 20 minutes because of electrical problems caused by lightning.

Overall, it was not a good night, but obviously that was because of the weather.

:scared1: BUMMER! :scared1: I hope the rest of your trip didn't get rained on!

Sorry for the rain...did you get in at 4pm with the TIX or did you have to have a park pass too?? Many are wondering if they can save a park pass and still get in early for ADRs or what have you [official time is 7pm].

Thanks.

Trish

Sept 30 for me, my DH and my DD8! My DD is wearing a costume called "double trouble" which is half angel, half devil. Then, DH is going to be an angel:angel: (just white shirt, white shorts and a halo) and I am going to be a devil (just red shorts, red tank top and devil horns! We want to be comfortable.)

Dumb question ahead...where is the "DIS Meets" board? I will be there Sept 30 and might want to meet up with some of you for the fireworks. Sorry if this has been answered in the thread, I haven't read the whole thing.

So, September 14th people -- what did you think of the party?

We had so much fun, even though the rain was torrential! We were soaked to the bone, but the parade and the CANDY more than made up for it. :)

Going Oct 12. I'm really excited. First time!!! So how much candy do they really hand out? We'll be the football crew! M2(old lady) DS13 DS9

There are candy stations allll over the park (easy to spot with their large lighted "Goofy's Candy Co" balloons at each station). We easily filled up our trick or treat bags, and as we exited the park, there were more CMs with dumpsters full of full-size bags of Hershey Kisses! We still have a ton of candy left over. :)

We got in at 4:30pm with just the MNSSHP ticket. We didn't need our passes.

We got absolutely soaked too (no ponchos for us, I don't believe in them :rolleyes1 ) but we still had a GREAT time! We had dinner at Concourse Steakhouse, and after exiting the monorail at the MK walking (swimming?) toward the security bag check area, we were wading through water that was up past my ankles. DH saw water being sucked underground in HUGE whirlpools. :scared: There were NO lines for anything other than HM (understandable since it only reopened the day before). We literally walked onto Space Mountain and Splash Mountain (what's a little more water when your underwear is already squishy?). The CMs at Splash actually let us ride through again, as there was NO ONE waiting to go on. The only real bummer, I felt, were the fireworks being delayed. We waited on Main Street for a long time and finally gave up to go on rides -- of course, as soon as we were entering the HM, we heard the fireworks being set off. Oh well. However, the parade was AMAZING! We loved every second of it, and we're not normally parade-people. DH is still singing the infectious Boo to You song. :) The Haunted Mansion sequence was incredible, probably our favorite part!

Sept. 14th people, remember your party ticket is good for one day admission to the MK, until September 14, 2008! I find it incredible that Disney will make good on a "washed out" party by honoring the ticket as a park pass. :thumbsup2 After all, Florida weather is terribly unpredictable.

For those of you who change into your costumes at MK...How do you get your costumes to MK? Will a travle size luggage on wheels fit into a locker? Where is the best place to change into your costumes?

I just don't see how we can make it back to the resort and get changed and be back for 3:50 ADR.

Thanks.

My kids changed at MK. We brought extra large ziploc baggies and put each kids costume in one. They fit in the locker fine..plenty of room. I don't think any suitcase on wheels will fit in the locker. A carry on bag might fit. The lockers aren't very big.

We were bummed by the rain too. We spent the "rain time" visiting Mickey AND Minnie - together. A rare find we were told. Then we did the surprise characters (White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts), then the Princesses. Cindy and Charming, Aurora and Philip and Perla (Cindy's mouse). By then the rain stopped. We did Phillarmagic and by the time we came out they were announcing the start of the fireworks in 5 mins. We were able to see them and the parade. Both were AWESOME. DO NOT MISS THEM!!!

We're so excited for this party on October 23. It's all my DS6 can talk about.
Although, he is now not going as Capt. Jack, he is now going as the black suited spiderman. :charac4: :rotfl:

I picked my costume by the fact that it could fit in the bag I plan on taking to the parks each day. Luckily, my DH won't be dressing up so I just have to fit one costume in the bag.

We have ADR's at LTT at like 5:45, so I'll probably change in the bathroom there.

We are going to the party on Friday the 21st...does anyone have any pictures of the bags they give you for trick-or-treating? I was just wondering how big they are thanks. And I hope it doesn't rain.:goodvibes

hey all,
I am going on to the Oct 18 event and was wondering if *both* parades travel the same direction from Frontier land to Main Street? I ask because when i was last at the event in 2004 i remember specifically the parade starting on Main Street and traveling towards Frontier land, but i can’t remember if i saw the second show.

Anyone know anything about if the parade reverses direction for the later show?

thanks!
