We will be visiting Disney for our Honeymoon the last two weeks of May. Which day do you think will have the highest attendance numbers over the extended Memorial Day weekend?

No opinions?!?

I read somewhere (trying to remember) that a Girl Scout convention or something will be held that weekend as well. The events will take place at Epcot but would probably affect other parks to, no?

FYI - I just cancelled an ADR for LeCellier for 5/4/2012 for 6 people @5:30pm. I picked up a later ADR. Hope someone can use it!!!

We booked out trip this past Monday. We are going May 11th till 16th. First family trip and first trip for DH and I in over 5 years. I am so excited and it is still 4 months away. I haven't slept for over a week too well because of the excitement. Add me too We are staying at The All Star Movies Resort.

Yeah, I haven't heard many good things about the food, either. DH and I just brought some homeade banana bread and some cereal with us and ate in the room before we left. They do have a fridge and a coffee pot..which is a nice plus due to food not sounding so well.
I did try one of the frozen drinks at the Starbucks stand, and it wasn't too bad. (It's advertised as Starbucks, but to me, it tasted different.)

With such a huge savings, we are able to rent a car. So I plan on hitting up Publix. I have 3 character breakfasts planned, so I only gotta worry about 4 days. We have dinner planned every night.

We did hit up the "starbucks" stand last trip when we went to get our passes, I didn't think it was too bad.

114 days to go...1st snowfall of the season here in Chicago. Seems like an eternity until our trip!!!!

Time is flying! Not only am I planning Disney but also planning a wedding! There is so much to do and so little time to do it!

I have updated everyone who will be joining us in May so far!

Anyone know if slots for the Wishes Dessert Party have opened? ​

Eeek! That's scary.
Gay days is also at the end of May too, hopefully it won't be too bad. We usually go July/August so I'm sure if we can handle summer, we can do it! I guess I should finally get around to watching Star Wars for the first time so I can actually enjoy Star Wars Weekend!

I'm getting more and more excited by the day. Made a list of everything I need to remember to pack. I keep changing how many days we have left on our dry erase board. Waiting for my extra money so I can book our KTTK tour. After I book that, I don't really think there is anything with Disney that I will have left. Probably need to figure out a hotel that we can stay the night at on our drive down there.

I'm really, really stressing over saving some last minute money for this trip... X_x Heck I might babysit or something for the next 4ish months.

What are you celebrating?
Nothing, but that's okay!

Are you a pin collector?
Nope! I have a lanyard from the 3rd time I went to WDW with some pins I got. But I do collect any buttons I can get my hands on (the ones you can get at MK for celebrating and just some of characters that I buy). I put them in a box frame in my room. I also have 2 vinylmation. Not a collector, but I think they're fun. I have a Rex one and a Red and white polka dot minnie mouse one.

Favorite restaurant at DTD?
We've only ever ate at Rainforest Cafe (which I don't really care for) and the Ghiradelli shop. We had ice cream there and it was delicious.

Tip for first time visitors?
Relax! Get up early, take breaks if you need to. Don't go in with crazy expectations that everything will be absolutely magnificent. Things happen, accidents, rude people, you can get dissapointed if you think everything has to be perfect. Have a good time.

Why did you choose the resort you're staying at?
We chose Pop Century, mainly because of the price. We're staying quite awhile and the only way to afford it is to pick a value. That said, we LOVE everything about Pop. We were going to do a split stay at CBR, but it just cost too much. We'd love to stay at AOA, but since The Little Mermaid is the only rooms that are standard (and they're not open yet!) we will just have to go visit. We stayed at POFQ for a night last trip and I loved it too.

Are you driving, flying, or taking a train to WDW?
Driving! We're all afraid of airplanes and it is much cheaper for us to drive. As boring as it is, it does make us more excited as we're making our way there. Plus, it's nice to have our own car to drive to the parks. I think taking a train would be fun though!

Last year all the SWW were busy, but they are soooo much fun!! I've booked all my lunch ADRs for SWW because last year the counter service restaurants at DHS were a zoo! Hopefully they will keep the motorcade parade at the same time as last year and I'll be set for each weekend!

I don't know about a GS convention. I know there is a homeschool convention at Gaylord Palms Memorial Day weekend and Spring World 2012 is a convention at CSR.

I started making our 80 day countdown today (that's all the Mickey heads I could fit on the posterboard otherwise it would've been 100 lol). I also got a tshirt for DS from someone for $2 and our pins came in the mail today... I was so excited! Can't wait to start trading

I will post a picture when we get to 80 days... I still have to finish the otherside... I just cut out 80 Mickey heads (yeah, I picked a great time to sell my Cricut!) and put stickers behind them on a posterboard so when the kids pull off a Mickey head each day they'll get a surprise behind it

I have to make our tyedye shirts yet (this will be my first time - i hope they turn out!)... I also made Animal Kingdom shirts, Red Pirate shirts and our "names" with characters inside of them. We try to follow a theme everyday... the other days will just be colors matching or patterns. My husband hates it but everyone else loves it and it's easy to spot the kids if they wonder off for some reason.

So behind each Mickey they pull off will be a sticker of a character I suppose. Is that the surprise? To see what character is behind Mickey? This sounds like such a cute idea and one I may have to "steal" I love being crafty myself and your ideas totally inspired me. Right now I get a blank calendar at wal-mart and let my son and daughter put a sticker on each day to try and help them become aware of the calendar and the days of the week. They love putting a sticker on each day and get a big kick out of it so I am sure your idea would be AWESOME for them. Thanks so much. I am guessing you just buy a regular poster board?? The shirts sound cool too but I have no idea where to start on that project. Never made a shirt before. I make barrettes so I can make all the princess, minnie, mickey, etc into pins and put them on their shirts I suppose. Thanks for the ideas
