****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Still no discounts! But hey, we all have about 7 months to go... we're getting closer!

Wow, this thread has gotten a lot of activity since I've been on it! :thumbsup2 I don't think we've been added yet. Our dates are April 29 - May 5. First 3 nights at Bay Lake Tower and we decided to do the last 3 at PO:FQ instead of Coronado Springs.

:wave2: Add me to the list!! I have goosebumps typing this right now!!

We will be taking our girls for the first time May 3-7 and staying at Pop Century. So.Very.Excited.!!

:cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

Wow, awesome! 5 is a GREAT age to experience Disney!

I've heard rumors about Test Track being down for refurbishment late April-September(I think) Any know if this is true or not? I hope it's not as this is one of our favorite rides. It's bad enough Thunder Mountain will be down for refurbishment while we are there :confused3

I so hope this isn't true! My oldest will be heart broken, it was her absolute favorite ride on this last trip! There are so many other rides in more need of refurbishment, Test Track seems like one of the more up to date rides IMO.

Top 5 restaurants we're doing this trip.

1) 'Ohana - booked this morning for a 5:00 dinner on our arrival day. First time, can't wait!

2) Teppan Edo - never been, have wanted to try it.

3) Sci Fi - probably. My kids ask for it, plus the food is good and we always have great service.

4) Donald's Safari Breakfast. My youngest loved the characters last trip, and we enjoyed this breakfast when we did it a couple years ago. Especially the juice!

5) PO:FQ cafeteria. First time, can't wait to try the beignets! My kids love to pretend they're making them, they've seen Princess and the Frog a lot. :rotfl:

Yes~! Another May DISER! So glad you joined us! :cheer2:

Does anyone know anything about ordering a cake at WDW? We will be celebrating dd's 18th birthday along with her high school graduation and I thought that on her actual birthday that would be something special we could do.

Good Morning May DISERS! Get your coffee ready and start planning this trip! :surfweb:

So a question was propsed by snowdrift7 - What tours/special events will everyone be doing this year?

Let us know what you think you might participate in! I would love to see what everyone is doing :woohoo:

And by the way.... I have power again!!! After 84+ hours. Now just to get the power to everyone else! Still 19,000 out in my town!

Ouch Jessica! That sounds like the kind of power outages we get after a hurricane! So glad yours is back now though.

We haven't quite decided fully yet but I'd LOVE to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour one of these days. We have 8 days, so that should *theoretically* be plenty enough time to do it. We just need to see how things pan out. But for sure we will go to La Nouba. I just love that show and I can't wait to show my dd and my parents. I know they will love it too. DH and I went and saw it when we were on our honeymoon and fell in love with it. So far that's the only *special* thing we are planning at the moment.

I'm hoping to the the Backstage Magic tour on one of my last days, around the 22/23 of May. Haven't done a tour before by really interested in this tour for years.

This past May, we did the Behind the Seeds Tour and it was great. We had done it before but my mother had not. I really want to book the Wild Africa Trek but the price is pretty hefty for a family of three.

I've been researching airboat rides in Kissimmee and found one that looks really fun and interesting so I think we are going to book as soon as the 2012 window opens up.

That always looked like a great tour! I really am interested in doing one too! :flower3:

Funny me, there are actually things outside of WDW??? :rotfl:

Now if the power went out next week when my ADR window opens, you would have not seen a happy camper! :scared1:

LOVED La Nouba!! Best show ever. We actually always get the seats on the side of the stage. They have an amazing view and you are so close! Go for those

I know.....can' you believe it? :rotfl: I was a bit ticked off at Disney when I started looking into other things to do offsite. Our vacations keep going up and up and up and I don't see me getting any more for my Disney dollars. So, I went to the Kissimmee and Orlando website and found quite a few interesting things to see and do.

Yea, I was thinking about surprising DFi on our honeymoon with a trip to Seaworld. He hasn't been there since he was younger and loves the animals. Let us know what you book!

Oh gosh I know what you mean there. I'd have been frantic!

What side do you normally sit? I think we sat in the Upper right side (facing the stage) and if we were a little further over a pole would have been in our way. I'm hoping to try for a middle section this time but I know those must go pretty fast.

We've seen La Nouba three times and each from Category 2 seating. We have been in Sections 203, 204 and 205, rows GG and HH. Each time, we have had fantastic seats. We loved the show and would go back again in a heartbeat.

Thanks Mickeys! There is no way I'd remember where we sat when we were there before. I just know the general vacinity! Writing those section #s down now! Appreciate it!!! ;)

My favorite seats are the first 6 rows of section 101. It is category 2 seating, but you can see everything! I would do your best to get the seats all the way to the right of the section. For some reason I can’t remember what # seats we had. Hope you get great ways either way!
