Official May 2011 thread!

So how should it go if you aren't DVC. I'm three weeks out and got the tags and the folder saying how many of each credits for the FD:cool1: and than it states the ME info to follow. I hope it isn't much longer.

Ahh! One month from today we'll be on our way to WDW! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Can't believe it's almost here! Getting kinda nervous now...there's still lots to do

23 days out here and just got my MM. I got the luggage tags. Mine said the magical express vouchers will be sent seperate.:confused3

I would consider calling Disney today to see if your ME tags have been sent out yet. They are generally sent when you are around 40 days out. We are at 20 days and we got our ME stuff at 34 days. I'm thinking you should have gotten yours by now. Can't hurt to call and check on it. And if you do it now, they still have time to get it in the mail to you before you leave!

Yes, I am going to Disneyland solo again in May. I would love to meet some
other solo travelers who just can't get enough of Disneyland!
My husband doesn't care to go and my friends only go once every few years-
so I am off for another fun weekend! Going Memorial weekend. Yeap,
it will be packed-but who cares-just breath the magical air, listen to the sounds and smell the food!
Can't think of anywhere I'd rather be!

:tinker::tink:

We've had this trip planned but mom has been having medical issues but now it looks for sure! Put me down for Ft Wilderness Cabins, first time staying there!

Anyone else doing Disney Movie nights? We started this a few weeks ago and that's helping the time fly by even quicker. I think half the fun is the anticipation though, right?

We are too - started with our 100day countdown and have watched one every weekend. I think we're going to try to do a theme theme night on our 30day countdown.

We've watched alot of old & new so far - Tangled, Enchanted, Parent Trap (the original), Swiss Family Robinson, Cars, Alice in Wonderland (animated), Beauty & the Beast, etc.
We also need to fit in the Star Wars movies soon since I haven't watched them in yrs & would like to at least know who the Star Wars characters are that DH and DD want to meet.

It definitely helps pass the time for us and has helped our budget too since we used to go to the movies every weekend!

I can officially say today that we only have 45 more sleeps until we hit the road to Disney! :woohoo:

Just got my magical express tags!! 33 more days!!! The cold, rainy weather we've got today is making me so much more anxious for the beautiful Florida weather!!! Now it's time to start packing!

Not crazy at all! I think the weeks leading up to the trip are some of the best- nothing like being able to say that I only have 2 Mondays left before Disney!

I agree! The excitement just builds and builds and it does get a bit crazy at our house with all the packing and preparing and watching movies and doing Disney theme dinners but it's a lot of fun!!

I know it's getting close when I wake up first thing in the morning and have this excited feeling...not sure why...then I remember, oh, yeah, I'm going to Disney!!:cheer2:

In anticipation for the trip we are making dinners from the Disney cookbooks. So far we have had Le cellier Beer Cheese soup, Ohana Bread pudding, Boma Curry Chicken Stew, Blue Bayou Monte Cristos, Le cellier steak and risotto. Still to come - Brown Derby flourless chocolate cake, flame tree BBQ ribs, le cellier maple creme brulee, and Sci Fi mac n cheese.

We got our planning DVD and watched it last night(bit late since we already booked, but oh well). Can't wait till May! 5 more weeks of endless anticipation. :P

It's nice to come here to the boards and be surrounded by people who understand the excitement and the obsession.

We are 23 days out too :cool1: and I agree with AKL LOVER that you may want to call about your ME documents. We received ours when we were 36 days out. They will be able to send them to you ASAP if you haven't received them yet. When we went last year we didn't receive our ME documents and it was about 2 weeks out when I called. They Fedexed them the next day and I got them 2 days later. Good luck.

I have a question about the luggage tags. We have 4 people going but DD is only 2. We got 3 tags and only 3 people listed on the reservations. Should I call about her not being on the list? Even though she doesn't get a ticket, they had me put her name down in the reservations and she's online when I check it but not on the printed paper that I got in the mail. 31 days!!!

DH's aunt & her 2 girls are leaving tomorrow morning for a bus trip to DW with their school band. I told her to pick us up maps and anything else we might need... lol...

No need to call. When we traveled last year DS was still under 3 (as he was the previous 2 years when we went) and he was never listed on the paperwork we got in the mail. And because you aren't paying for her, that's why she didn't get a tag. Have fun on your first trip!!

So excited to be headed to AKL May 20-25! First visit to MK and Epcot since I was a kid. Thanks to these boards for all the help planning. Whee!

It is the one month dance for me. By this time next month we should be heading back to the hotel after Wishes at MK. :) Can't wait.
