Official May 2011 thread!

That is so weird! It wasn't like that when I checked this morning. However, when you go to click on the calendar button, May still won't show up. Also I can't type in a different date to check earlier in May. Maybe this means they're about to put the May hours up??

I see 'em! May doesn't show up for me either when I click on the little calendar button.

I think I'm going to upgrade to POFQ. Its going to be roughly an extra 363 dollars if I go from May 1st to May 8th. I think I will sacrifice an extra day to stay in my dream hotel for my birthday. It's peak season still on April 30th so that would be a lot more than what I'm paying for during the regular season. I think I will talk to my boyfriend about it to see what he thinks.

I know! I checked this morning and there were no dates. But, after I made a payment, I looked and they appeared for part of our travel dates. I tried to see if other May dates were available but it only goes to April. I hope this means they are going to go ahead and put the May hours up. I could at least plan our May dates and then anxiously await the June hours.

Yeah I really hope they're going to put up the hours soon so we can figure out what parks we're doing on what days! Need time to set that up to get our ADRs in order in a few weeks. Can't wait to start planning!!

Me too. I am hoping that Star Wars Weekends will happen while we are there. Well, I actually don't give a hoot about it but my 13 year old son does. I was waiting on the hours to make ADR plans.

I clicked on April 30th since that is the day I'm going (might be changing now) and it shows hours through May 9th! Wheeeeeeee~

If you are subscribed to touring plans, they have the hours for May!

Hopefully the rest of the hours will be up soon so other people can see hours for their dates! When my boyfriend gets home we are going to decide which parks we want to do.

Also, WISHES IS ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Now I can have a romantic birthday dinner with my boyfriend at the California Grill as we watch Wishes.

I think I've convinced my boyfriend to let me upgrade to POFQ! The cheerleaders being at the values the first two days we are there was a big reason apparently. We joked that the 16 year olds will flock all over him. He's had bad luck with girls before he met me. Apparently he would get hit on by 16 year old girls a lot. I felt bad for him because he was nearly 10 years older than them at the time.

It's going to be a bit more expensive, but I want to be in a quieter hotel. I love how beautiful it looks as well. I'm so excited. We are going to go to a Doorway to Dreams travel agency thing at the mall next week and talk to them about it. Maybe they can find a discount for us! We are waiting to see if I get hired at this job I have an interview for on Friday.

I can't stop smiling and giggling. My dream vacation may come true!

For those of you going the end of May thru the beginning of June, are you concerned about Memorial Day crowds and the crowds for the events that take place during the first week of June?

We were going to take advantage of that free dining week since it's the only time offered in May. We changed our minds though because we decided that between free dining, memorial day, and the events happening at that time it would be really crowded. I hate that we can't take advantage of free dining though!

I am not concerned too much. This is the time of year that we normally visit Disney. Yes, there are waits for the headliners but we make use of Fastpass and extra magic hours (evenings mostly) and we've been fine.

We even went to Star Wars Weekends this past June and were able to navigate the crowds.

I'm not too concerned. I usually go the very first few days of June anyway and I've decided to go ahead and go a few days early to take advantage of free dining. Getting to the parks at rope drop and taking advantage of EMH and of course Fastpass helps keep our waits to a minimum.
