Official May 17th Alaska Cruise Thread!

I am not a mom or single in the honorary or real sense, but... I have a husband that sometimes doesn't like doing the same activities onboard as I do and we are completely comfortable with, "Meet you back here in two hours." If you enjoy doing cruise activities and such, maybe we could go explore together at various times.

- Dreams

Definitely keep you in mind as well as all the other ladies here on the forum, is there a good system for everyone to stay in touch or make plans? I wish they gave us ALL the navigators on the first day.. I'd be so much better organized!

Epicure - my daughter is 15 adn there is another girl who is 16 on the cruise - I am going to pm you my daughter's fb info so your daughter and my daughter and the other girl can meet before hand.

I am up for girls night - I didn't get to see any of the adult shows last time because I didnt know anyone. Sounds silly, but I really want to see the adult hypnotist show -love those and they are good for a laugh! Lets all do that for sure!

and guess what I got today??

CONFIRMATION ON MAIN DINING!!!! WOOT!!!!!

I have PM'd you right back. Sounds great to get the girls together.

I am on late dining, but decided to stay put so we could have a later breakfast time. Last cruise, breakfast was so early I couldn't believe it -- I managed it a couple of times but it was difficult. Also, my 6 year old does not need an early bed-time, and being on the West Coast eating at 8:00 isn't actually going to feel like eating at 11:00.

I am however really hoping for (and I requested) the second dining rotation -- my girls love AP the best, so 3 visits on this trip would be great. I also requested being at a table of 8 (I thought the-more-the-merrier), so I hope my table-mates feel the same way.

Not packed, still have to find somevthings for trip, and am supposed to "just rest." :scared1: Fortunately, DH has been wonderful and is doing everything he can to help. If you have any spare pixie dust, please send it my way!- Dreams (from the couch)

I think 3 will do the trick.... :tink: :tink: :tink:

I hate late dining - Meg is hypo glycemic and has to eat early to keep her system on track - so we need that dining time. We never did make it to one sit down breakfast - too early for us - lol. We always went to Parrot Cay buffet.

Dreams, I am WITH you! Just now finished a project at work...time to go home and pack like mad. At least I have everything I need (I THINK!), DH called at lunch time - our hot water heater was leaking...$1500 later, our trip budget is pretty much shot :scared1: Would have waited til we got back (hot water is overrated, right??), but our adult children are staying at the house and holding down the fort, so needed to make sure they could function!

Ahhhh, Murphy wanted to come along, I guess! Looking forward to some fun on the ship. FE gifts are finished, just spending the evening packing and making sure nothing is forgotten. We are leaving tomorrow, will be in Vancouver on Sunday. I am ready for some time off!! See you all on Tuesday!:thumbsup2

I feel your pain -- my husband called me last week with that same news, and on Saturday we had our tank replaced. That's the last thing I wanted to spend $1500 on.

Better to have it leak now than while you are away and come home to it flooding the house!
See - always an up side!

I am actually running a big event on Sunday - been doing prep for that all week -so have to get finished packing tomorrow. Sunday I am busy all day, one last load of a couple things in the laundry Sunday night, finish up and out on Monday afternoon to the Pan Pacific! So excited to stay there and watch the ship pull in in the morning!!!

We have one bookedd for Skagway with dcl, one in Juneau with tickets for the Mount Roberts tram, we have two back to back excursions in Ketchikan. I could not narrow it down, so many fun things, so little time.

Thank you so much for the map...it's awesome...still SO far behind...excited but very tired, and tomorrow is another long day...

Hope I can stay awake on the boat LOL!
:worship:

I could do this, but since I am in canada it will probably cost a small fortune to ship compared to what some of the USA people can do it for...hope someone can help him out.

Ok, super nerdy question... Anyone heading out on this cruise will to pick up the special Vinylmation they have for the cruise? It is a Mickey totem and I am in love with it. I will of course pay you for figure, shipping, etc. I also will send a gift from Disneyland for your trouble!

Let me know.

Hotwire has a4 star on the 24th for 168.00 It says Downtown West, does anyone know what hotel this may be? Or does anyone have any suggestions for a hotel on the 24th in Vancouver. Thank you:cool1:

There is only one 4* showing up for me for the 24th for $106.

Looks like it could be the Coast Coal Harbour or Westin Bayshore - use betterbidding.com to try and match up.

OMG thanks for the reminder! Forgot!
As for Zack - I havent been able to get in touch with them. I think they are away -I know they were going on vacation to europe. I will work on it still once we are home though!

Hope this helps everyone.

Go to betterbidding .com This forum has a list of all hotwire and priceline hotels by their areas. For Hotwire they also show the listed amenities so you can narrow down what hotel you will get.

I go there all the time to reference what hotel I will get.
