Very! I have for dd set out to pack short sleeve shirt, hoodie, sweatpants, and shorts that coordinate for each day that way if it's cool we have the pants and hoodie and if warm we have the shorts....we are going to be there almost the same time! I'm soooooooooooooo excited hope we all have a wonderful trip! :wizard:

sidenote: just noticed we are both in IN! how cool!

:wave2:I have 21 days left :yay:and i can barely focus on anything NOT Disney related:hyper:... I am however getting more and more nervous the closer it gets. im in college and this is my first trip with just a frends and without any parents. Ive been 13 times all thogether. Ive gone with friends and their family's, my family, brought friends with me, and gone just me and my dad, but never without any parents. I have an uncle that is an hour away so he is our emergency man but im driving the whole way:scared:, never done that, and i think thats what has me so nervous. Its about 8 hours from my house to Disney 9 if we stop alot. But I'm so afraid im going to get lost. I know in the end it will all be fine and i can get there but the waiting is killing me!

Don't worry you'll be fine! I did the same thing in college and we drove from VT! 24 hours non-stop! (multiple drivers) It was the best time ever! Just be smart and safe and you'll create memories that will last a life time!

Yeah for your Eagle! My son has finally finished all his requirements. He's done his scout master conference. We're just waiting for all the references to come back and the paperwork (sent in Eagle Rank application) so he can have his Board of Review! We're hoping to have this done by the time we leave for Disney in 26 days! Our DVC guide is working on seeing if he can arrange a special treat for the boys (mine and his twin Eagle friends).

We have booked for march 7th! The kids don't know yet! WE HAVE NEVER BEEN! Will be a huge surprise!
Welcome to our little corner of the DIS! We recognize each other at Disney by carrying Lime Green Mickeyheads that we get from the paint department (they're paint chips) from Home Depot. We hang them on our purse, handbags, stroller etc. I won't be there during your trip, but many people here will be. You are in for the best time of your life! There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!

WOW! thats a long drive, I couldn't imagine doing that! its just me and another friend... I will be doing all the driving (she is a TERRIBLE driver :rotfl2:) my parents are going the week before me and are suppose to be writing down the exit to get off for Disney (thats the only thing im questioning myself on because we take a back road and don't go through Orlando). and how to get back out. Thank you for the reassurance :thumbsup2 I know it will be fun!

down to 12 days here-- weather is starting to shape up for the trip thanks to accuweather and it looks to be good so far but a bit cool in the evening. Going to also leave the 11th and stop in atlanta with family overnight then get down midday the 12th! Is anyone meeting up during the 12-20 timeframe??

It's 2 weeks tomorrow for us! I pulled out all the summer gear today and washed it. Now it's all packed neatly away for departure day! It was so exciting to put on the ME and DIS luggage tags. It just makes it seem real, KWIM? I am also packing a few long sleeved t's and the boys will wear jeans on the plane down. They will also layer their cotton hoodies and windbreakers. I'm even packing light pairs of gloves just in case and sincerely hoping I don't need them! I figure if I bring colder weather gear I won't jinx myself and will be able to enjoy beautiful, balmy Florida weather! :goodvibes

I just can't believe that we will be there two weeks from tomorrow!

Final Stretch...

Single digits untill my Wife's First Visit...
I can hardly contain my excitment!!!!

Mom and I were talking on phone about what we cant ride or see, cuz we missed it last time, was closed or brand new.. or for whatever, or what we never miss and cant wait to do numerous times... Wifey Chimed in...
"Know what I am most excited for??? EVERYTHING it will all be new!!!"

She finally caught the Spirit....

I'm really glad to see other people as excited and unable to focus as me! I have an exam on Wednesday and I'm on here instead of studying :cloud9: I've been trying to come up with what I'm gonna wear!

Gosh I can't wait! 8 days (not a week like my ticker says :()

Ok now I'm confused.:confused3 You're going to carry envelopes around the parks with tip money for your table service meal. How will you know how much the tip should be in advance. You dining plan cost per day includes a snack and a QS meal (if on the regular plan) and its hard to break out the individual cost of the TS meal. IMHO your server should be tipped based on the rack rate price of the meal. Just as if you have a BOGO coupon for a meal you tip based on what the meal would have cost without the BOGO, so if you order the surf and turf meal at Rose & Crown, you should tip based on the regular price of the meal. The server does the same work even if you pay a discounted price for the meal. Are you deciding your meals in advance? When we did the meal plan after the tip was no longer included (a bad idea IMHO), we charged the tips for each meal to our room charge. Then we didn't have to carry cash. The meal plan is for cost savings and convenience. When the removed the tip from the included cost, they removed alot of the convenience. Now you have to do math again!:teacher:

for mousekeeping. You said $2 per person per day. How do you know how many persons clean your room when you're not there? I've only seen 1 or 2 ladies cleaning a room at one time.

I figured up based on buffet meals at the restaurants we're eating at, and the average plate cost on the others. Of course I'll have rounded up generously on these so it would cover if someone did go hog wild, but my group tends to go with the chicken side more than the steak, hence lower averages. Of course, this is all up to the service we receive and tip envelopes can be adjusted either way for that one too. (Flame me if you want but if I receive bad service, even at Disney, I won't leave much of a tip.)

As for Mousekeeping, it's $2 per person in our room plus $1 cause I'm nice like that. To make it simpler, it will probably just be $10 per night.
