Official june 2010 thread!

I can't believe I haven't posted here yet! We'll be there:
6/19-6/26 at a 2BR SSR
and
6/26-6/29 at a Pool view AKL
:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We decided to book an Illuminations Cruise!! I am SOOOO excited! We are going to have dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Cindarella, then go to the Y&B Club Marina for our cruise. I can't wait!! Only 9 1/2 more weeks. :woohoo:

hey, all! can i join you here! :)

my sister and i are taking my kids to the World june 21-26.

when disney announced summer nightastic (and the return of MSEP), i wanted to take my kids, but just couldn't swing it. i promised myself that if they did the kids-go-free offer again, we'd go. they did it through visa and my sister offered to go with us (my DH cannot go this trip). we're SO excited!!! :yay:

it's our budget trip though--Pop with the QS dining plan. i'm looking forward to not having to worry about ADRs and such, to be honest.

i'll be turning 35 in early July (and my sister turns 40 in september), so we're calling this our birthday trip. hey, any excuse works! ;)

just how bad is june? we've been at thanksgiving twice and didn't find it too bad (but it wasn't hot). our september trip last year was HOT and crowded, so i'm figuring it will probably be similar to that. we're planning to do parks in the morning, pool in the afternoon and back to the parks in the evening.

I am expecting that it is going to be pretty hot and crowded. We went a few years back in June, then in 2008 at the end of May, last year in August, and this year in June. Each time it was really hot and the lines got fairly long. We're not a big fan of taking afternoon breaks, since it takes so much time away from the park. We just ride all the outdoor rides in the morning and then try to do some of the indoor things in the afternoon.

I hope you guys have a great time!! It looks like we'll be there a couple weeks before you. :)

Congrats to everyone on their upcoming trips!!!!!!! We are so excited!! 66 days!!! We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary at WL CL :) It's actually a Disneymoon take two, because I got really sick and was in bed virtually every day of our Disneymoon :sick::sick::sick: SO sad. I was bummed beyond. I'm surprised my poor DH didn't just pack up and leave me right there and come back to NY! I was insufferable! We were doing our "dream trip", once in a lifetime stuff here (Poly CL, V+A Chef's Table, Richard Petty Driving Experience for DH) and I was sooooo sick in bed, couldn't move, couldn't go to the parks, could barely walk. But my DH and the Club Level CM's were amazing and took really good care of me. I started feeling better by the second to last night, and we were able to do the Chef's Table which was AMAZING, and DH got to drive the NASCAR which literally blew him away....But we still had 4 park days unused that we paid to turn to non-expiry and NO trip in sight. There was NO way we could pay to do another trip even CLOSE to our honeymoon! And that's what I felt I missed out on!! So it had been a very bleak year of no Disney in sight, until we got the email PIN code!!! We were quoted an unbeatable price for 5 nights, and we were able to fit it in with our tax money!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU DISNEY FOR THIS PIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's because of HP, and the poor economy, but I DON'T CARE!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Just today I had an idea, and I was able to pull it off! I had the IPO check, and they were able to book us on the Wildlife Excursion Safari! DH loves animals, and LOVED Kilamanjaro Safari so much on our first trip together. He is SO excited to start our morning EMH day at AK and go straight for the safari. He is going to freak when he finds out that instead of getting up really early and running for rope drop, we will be able to take a private one hour tour of the Savannah! Ahhh I'm really bad at keeping secrets though, especially things I'm really excited about! I was able to keep the Richard Petty thing on hush until the night before the wedding-that was HUGE!

Congrats again to everyone!! Thanks for letting me share! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Wow I am so excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!:banana:
I wish the most magical dreams come true for this trip!
My husband and I have been married for 11 years and we never had a honeymoon. I know in a few years it will happen and when it does it will be grand and at Disney!! We are having a family reunion next year at Disney so I think when the expansion to Fantasyland is complete (2013?) will be a perfect time for a Dream Disneymoon!!
Have a magical day!:goodvibes

:wave2: Hi neighbor!
We are going 6/3-6/11. We will be there for rope drops and we are planning on going back to the room after lunch about 1 for rest and pool time and then we will return to the parks about 4. It is going to be HOT! I have never been in June so I want to be prepared for crowds and heat.:goodvibes

thanks! we are used to the heat, since it is pretty hot and humid here. but DS has mild asthma. one of his triggers is being out in the heat too much. so, i'm figuring the afternoon breaks will mostly be for him. i don't want him to be miserable.

we'll be back in january for the half-marathon (quick trip). so, if we miss something, i'm just going to let it go! lol!

Congrats! Just a little longer then 2 months for us. We told the kids on Easter they were excited. It will be my step son's first trip. He was more excited about the pool.

This year I AM more excited about the pool!:rotfl: This is our first time going in June!

We're going to be in Orlando from June 12 - 18th. What started as a trip for my immediate family of 7 has mushroomed into a family reunion of 12! Good heavens.

We'll be staying offsite at my HGVC SeaWorld timeshare. We've got two ADRs (Chef Mickey's and Ohana) which my kids are going bananas about already. I'm really, REALLY looking forward to this since I haven't been back in about a decade and this is a first-time trip for everyone else in the family.

Woohoo, only two months to go!
