We are going July 21st. Not staying onsite, so have to wait for 30 days out to book FP's. A little worried about the Pandora FP's and wondering whether I'm going to have to change my ADR's to accommodate them. Then, at 30 days out, who knows what will be left for dinning? So I'm just reading along....staying inspired and excited no matter what happens...it is Disney after all!

I had my choice of times for Pandora. That was actually easy, if you have to move an ADR don't worry people change their ADRs all the time. I know I do and you'll just need to stay vigilant. But stalking ADRs is kinda fun in my world LOL

It is simple now that the free dining fiasco is over. If my son were not going I would have waited and not worried about fastpasses but he loves the popular rides

So, wait...did you get your tickets thru Disney then? I am debating adding a day to our 5 day tickets, but I thought I'd have to wait until we got down there to do it. I got our tickets thru Disney, but before the price increase, so I am guessing it'd cost me a lot more too.

I've been following the Pandora thread...just so excited for the new rides! I wasn't expected to go to Disney this year, so it's even more exciting that I get this opportunity. My cousins bought a time share and invited me to go down with them, hence staying off site, but who cares....I get to spend 5 days at Disney! I made all the ADR's for us and will set up the FP's as they are Disney newbies, which is even more exciting because I love doing it. Then, we are definitely going next year for my grandson's HS graduation...Wow...2 years in a row! Just amazing!

Yeah, that's what has kept me from committing to adding a day. I got my tickets using a new Chase card, so I got a 200 statement credit. NOT, excited to lose that plus as well. Think I'll stick with 5 days, and hope for the best at AK.

Not sure if I want to switch days around yet, just wanted to post this for anyone who might want to tweak their plans before their FP date becomes available.

@Wood Nymph did you book your pandora rides on dates past the 4th or were your dates prior to that?

Yep, I've been following that thread. I make FPs next Saturday. I was all excited because my AK day is our last day of our trip, so I was hopeful I'd get my FPs when I want, but now I may lose that "advantage"...

Editing to add, I am wondering if they are debating extending the extra hours, and that is why the delay?

Yup me too - not exactly but not looking to pay new prices for 5 people. I'll add a day after we've used the tickets on our first day, I switched things around and put AK earlier we'll do Epcot on our last day which is easy enough at RD even without FP's since we won't ride FEA.

We have 5 as well. Small fortune to add day.
I was debating adding a day so we could do 2 days at AK, but the more I think about it, not worth the extra $$. We'll just have to schedule a return trip in the nearer future.

I hope it's released before your booking date, I am just not sure what I want to do yet. I really don't want to spend much more time late in the park after our ROL on the 2nd but that's my only other option. Last year it was so hot waiting for Jungle Book we did a little dance party after and the tree awakenings then left.

I am really hoping for a little rain this year it cools things off last year we had zero rain till the last day and it was brutal.

That wasn't luck you used your Disney intuition! My son just is a little scared of the Pandora thing he said he would do the Bioluminescence ride so I was going to tack it on. Nothing is ever that easy, all I was following was that FP were still available.

I just went back to see if I could make a fp for a Pandora ride on July 5th but they weren't available yet.

I have 5 days starting on the 5th, with my FP window opening on Friday. Come on Disney!!

My strategy is to rope drop the boat ride and get a FP for the Soarin' type ride as early as possible (pending Disney's cooperation!!!). I'm wondering when I should schedule my other 2 FP's (I think EE and the safari). Option 1:
Pandora land early, then hurry back over to "old AK" for 2 more FP's at say 10 and 11...then back to Pandora for more exploring after a lunch/swim break OR option 2: plan to hang out in Pandora in the morning and go to "old AK" after lunch/break. Hmmmm.... any ideas how large the Pandora land is? Will there be a lot to see besides the rides? Want to avoid traipsing across the park in the heat. Was also hoping to ride EE more than once. Any thoughts???
