Hi guys we are back! (Well part of us!) My DMIL felt bad that we had to cancel our trip this summer, so they offered to take our DS for his tournament and DH and I now get to spend our 15th anniversary at AKL! (Thank you AP discount!)We never got a real honeymoon, so we are kind of treating ourselves! We are scheduled for July 22-29 and so excited! We are still taking the whole family over Thanksgiving, so don't feel guilty about our first adults only trip!

Ok July folks, how we gonna do AK fast Passes?? Because we all have to do it the same way , haha! I have kids aged 8-14, so I'm thinking FP the Pandora flight ride 9-10 and rope drop the boat one...then head over to the safari w/ 10 am FP. EE is my favorite ride so I'm tempted to make it my final FP at 11 or even after lunch. But it's gonna be so stinking hot that I am tempted to FP the rapids ride. Decisions!


I am going to try for the dining show ROL, if they ever release for July. Come on Disney!!

I just learned of a magical sounding place that sells spiked dole whips. WHO'S WITH ME???

My plan is to try and get one fast pass for each of the Pandora rides, on two different days. We'll FP the ROL. We will probably spend more time at AK then we ever have before now. We usually only do 1/2 day at AK. But....we can't book until 30 days out, so hoping we don't have a problem getting FP's for these. Hopefully all the Florida Disney day folks will get it down, making room for the rest of us, who knows. It's always so jam packed these days probably doesn't make any difference. Need a little Fairy Dust!

Is anyone planning to eat in the Pandora restaurants? I am trying to imagine what crowds will be like...can't even fathom...

Absolutely want to try the CS one! The menu is really different and lots of things I like. I'll be so bummed it we can't get FP's. I don't have a back up plan....I'm going with hope....LOL.

One of the things I'm really looking forward to, besides the rides, is just being at AK at night! I hear the tree has different scenes that scroll across it randomly. It must be really pretty. Plus, since we hardly spend any time at AK, I may find some interesting nooks and cranny's to explore.

I have planned out our AK day. get there at Park opening and do one of the rides hopefully able to get a FP for other. Go to Late Tusker breakfast with ROL. Maybe see Flights of Wonder or Lion king. Take a break head back around 7:30 pm for ROL then stay as late as I can for EMH

That sounds like a great plan. We'll FP one of the rides and hopefully ROL. The other ride we'll see what it is like at the extended super late night EMH but we can always leave things until 'next time'. We won't be making it to park opening on our AK day since we'll be checking out of BLT that day and checking into BWV. We won't physically go to BWV until after AK but just getting organized and dropping luggage with bell services is enough to convince me that it is just safer to say we won't be there at opening. If we make it, cool but not likely!

This is pretty much my plan too(minus the EMHs) My one worry is that my TH ADR is 10:15 so hoping if we get there early we'll be towards the front of the rope drop crowd and be able to get one of the pandora rides and make the ADR!

That's a good option then, if the meals are the same for both. It may give folks more flexibility.

Meal planning this time was interesting for us...the tween is no longer interested in character meals! This made me a little sad, but now there are tons of restaurants for us to experience. Other than our ROL dining package meal at Tusker House, I'm proud to report that all of our other TS restaurants are new to us!

Funny thing about life, endings lead us to new beginnings. Just when I thought our character meal days were over, the grand babies came along, now we're right back where we started. We have come full circle..

Got all of the reservations that we wanted for our trip (even BOG for our anniversary dinnner) but now I am second guessing our resort choice! Booked at AKL in a standard room, but also throwing the idea of WL around, but then thinking do we want to go all out or just stay value. AHHH! My DH says that it is my decision but I am so indecisive! We have done ASMu, ASSp and Boardwalk for our last trips so we aren't opposed to a value to save money but the idea of a deluxe again is such a great thought! Anyone else having second thoughts on where they are staying? Any inputs on where you would stay if you were in my position?
