From Stormcarib.com:
"Have just spoken with my brother. Says the damage is unimaginable. Most houses have had their roofs ripped off and contents sucked out. Lives are not being lost though which is main thing. Lack of water and power and food is hitting them now. Some form of relief is needed to get food and supplies to residents. No trees are left and most people have lost their cars. Cayman prep school is badly damaged with parts of it missing. Some looting is going on where people are able to gain access although this is not i many places. South sound road is gone and is now a beach so houses ahve suffered extensive damage.
Worst part is knowing what to do now. Nowhere to go, can't get off the island and running out of supplies.
Not a very joyous message i'm afraid but this is better than not knowing i think. Anymore news i get i will pass on. Hope you have all made contact with your families."
And they're well off compared to Grenada. Is it any wonder some of the CMs might be a little less than jolly?
