Well it should be pretty close to three years.Okay, today is April 14, 2016. Let's revisit this post when it's completed and see how long it took them to get it completed. My over/under is 3 years, and I'm taking the over.
Well it should be pretty close to three years.
Lol noso 6? right?
Disneylands version is rumored to open early 2019. DHS version is rumored to open about 4 months after that.Okay now, if we're placing bets and looking at this when it's finally done we need to setup some ground rules.
1. Are we talking both Star Wars Lands complete or just WDW or DL
2. Define complete, is it "Grand Opening" or 7DMT scenario when it's actually complete and 100% functional?
So my thoughts, WDW get's a done and set for May 24th 2019 opening day of Episode IX.
DL gets set and complete by May 25th 2018 for the Han Solo Movie release.
I don't think it opens that late.I reckon that im going to go with May 2020 for opening in WDW.
If SWL is going in LMA Area then i'd be interested in what happens to Star Tours
I actually think it would be a great idea to have one of the entrances to SWL being throuh star tours. Just think take the flight from earth to SWL. Exit out the back and you are there. I know people will say its copying HWE but it would not require a park to park rip off ticket.I don't think it opens that late.
As for star tours that's up in the air right now. It's an easy ride to retheme though.
I actually think this one will move in accordance with timeline if not sooner.
Do we have a timeline yet? I've heard the rumors about it being between 2019-2020.
There is no official timeline I've only been going off of sources. Most are saying 2019.Do we have a timeline yet? I've heard the rumors about it being between 2019-2020.
On that note, I completely agree, even with parks hitting higher numbers every year Disney is in need of Restaurants and shops to continue generating revenue and rides and experiences to justify return visits from it's visitors, how else are they going to pay for the $2 Billion wasted on MME+ and Magic Bands.
I have to admit to being impressed with all the security that they had for the groundbreaking.
