**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

So i have the PP for August 22nd and from what i am reading is that a 705 ADR at 50s PT will probably make me late for the dessert party which is AWESOME? Would everyone agree that an earlier meal would be better?

Unless cm didn't get the memo they extended it.

That's possible.

Oh I hope they extend thru December!!! Crossing fingers, toes and everything else!

That would be nice. But it's my understanding that contacts currently run til Sept 28. Here's hoping for renewed contracts. I did notice several new faces in the parade last week.

I can't imagine going to the dessert with a full belly. Have you seen pictures of all the food? There's vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, Strawberry short cake, lime tart, cookies, rice Krispy treats, cheesecake push ups, Olaf pops with cheesecake and carrot cake, a fondue table with pretzels, apples, strawberries, marshmallows, nuts, etc. Then all beverages and ice cream

Booked the package for 9/12 but a little disappointed to realize we will miss Fantasmic. I only see an 8:30 time for it, would it be silly to do Fantasmic and show up late for dessert party. Ugh that's the reason I booked for the desserts :)
Unfortunately we only have one day for HS- ugh what to do

Same boat here....I purchased the package for myself, DH, & DD(4). While she LOVES A&E, she also LOVES Mickey Sorcerer. I'm now finding myself wondering if I may not want to cxl the Frozen Premium Package just so we can view Fantasmic! At least we will be able to see and participate in most of the other Frozen fun offerings, just not the dessert party and fireworks if I cxl the package. Golly...they could have or should have timed this a little better so we wouldn't have to choose!

Now that Frozen is coming to HS, I wanted some advice on my plan. We have a few ADRS and the Frozen Premium Package.

Please let me know if this will work. Our daughter is five years old. This trip is for her so the rides are geared around her age, etc.

9am - RD with Olaf

9:10am - H&V Breakfast with Disney Jr.

10:30am - Bill and Min's to check in for Parade

11am - Parade and then follow up stage at Hat

11:35/11:40am - Toy Story Mania FP+

12:10am - Disney Junior Live! w FP+ (24min.)

1pm - Beauty and the Beast

12:50p-1:50pm FP window - Star Tours

Muppet Ride?

QUESTION - Should we do a 2pm or 2:30pm ADR at Sci to take grab an app and a milkshake? Would we have time??? Thought daughter may be hungry???

3:30pm - Frozen Singalong

head to buses for AKL

Explore lodge - stop at Mara for Zebra Domes

5:35pm - Dinner at Jiko (This was originally our AK day and I would love to still do this ADR. I think it would also be a nice break from the park. It appears that the travel from HS to AKL is not bad and is a fairly short commute with Disney transportation.)

7:15/7:30-ish - head to buses back to HS

DH to ride Rock-N-Roll Coaster or Tower of Terror if lines permit, possible 4th FP?

Little Mermaid ride

8:30pm - Frozen Dessert Party

9:15pm - Frozen Fireworks

Thank you!

If you think we are missing something, please let me know!

We had a 5pm-ish meal booked at Mama Melrose, which we swapped to a 12.30pm lunch simply to give us some breathing room between our main meal and the dessert party! :)

Arriving at 10:30 will put you in the back of parade viewing. People begin lining up for entry for package registration before 10am. Snacks stop promptly at parade start.

The 3:30 Frozen singalong return window will be from 2:50 to 3:20. If the show reaches capacity early, the doors will close at 3:20.

An ADR at Sci-Fi might be pushing it. Depends if you are seated right away or not. I definitely wouldn't choose a 2:30 ADR time.

Save room for dessert! I love the AKL.

I know - we can do all of the frozen activities may just have to wait a bit longer to scope out a spot and just buy a couple of cupcakes for the fireworks. Sure wish they would change the Fantasmic time

So disappointed, can't get the frozen package for any day we are there. We will be there for 2 weekends and they are completely sold out. I really am disappointed with disney, I had to try and rearrange things so we could fit this in and within 2 days they are all sold out.

Good to know! Do you think we could get out of H&V by 10am or maybe have DH go stand in line while I wrap up with daughter?

Should I get an earlier ADR at H&V? Is the RD show worth seeing? Would an 8:05am ressie be better?

Frozen is the priority over other things.

Thanks for your help!

I think that we will pass on Sci-Fi this time! Something to look forward to on our next trip!

I think it's pretty funny they raised the price $10

I find it interesting that when I was asked to fill out a survey after SWW FTF, it asked if we'd pay $69 for a package. I said no. I guess they are testing the waters. And finding out the answer is yes, people are willing to pay more.

With only about 200 people per package and only 9 days added. I can see how they'd sell out quickly.

But don't despair. You can do everything except have a reserved area on your own! You can even get better viewing for the parade AND not have to sit out in the sun as long.

There are plenty of desserts and beverages for sale around the park. Oaken's Trading post has a nice selection of desserts. The Backlot Express, has the Olaf, Anna and Elsa, cupcakes. There are bars set up near the hat in the evening that serve specialty drinks. I haven't tried it yet, but I saw on the Disney Food Blog that there is a Frozen themed ice cream sandwich at the ice cream cs near ToT. There are also Frozen themed cookies and Krispy treats throughout the park.

Be sure to pick up your ticket for the sing-along. Early if there is a certain time frame you need. Return in the early part of the return window and you should still get a decent seat, just probably not center. The side screens in the theater do not show the characters on stage, but they show the words of the songs.

We've done the package twice, opening day and mid-July. We had a great time, but I don't think it was any better than the days we've gone on our own. And we've been to DHS once or twice a week every week since it started.

When I purchased my package they told me that I could cancel 1 full day before before the event. So, Friday Frozen Summer Premium event ... cancel on Wednesday. If you want the premium pass I would call a few times on the last day that people can make cancellations. I am sure there will be cancellations.

I haven't eaten at H&V in years, so I really can't talk from experience. But if I did eat there, I'd want to make sure we saw each of the characters. And I don't like rushing through meals.

All members of the party have to be present at check in for the package. They have been letting people in just after 10am.

Personally, I think the RD show is skippable. (If that's a word?) My son loved it though. He is a huge Olaf fan. A&E are not a part of RD. It's Olaf and the MC (who you will probably recognize from AI.)

You might want to watch a video of the opening show. Deb Wills put up a good one on Allears. Then make a decision if you want to see it or skip.

My son's very favorite part of FSF is Oaken's Funland. He is a true Floridian and never saw snow before.

During the afternoon, (I think around 3pm) the MC and Olaf take the stage and screen again. They show a few pictures that guests have posted on social media to #olafsummervacation , it ends with snow on the streets.

Next time we go, I have the goal of trying a Frozen themed drink (maybe the non-alcoholic "Let it Glow") that I haven't had yet and eating a Frozen Ice Cream Sandwich. It's any flavor of ice cream on a special Frozen sugar cookie. I've seen it on the Disney Food Blog, but not in person.

YUM!

Thank you for your advice! There was an 8:05 ressie at H&V so I snatched it. :)

My daughter is a huge Sophia fan (we are watching it as I type!) so I agree about not being rushed!

Thanks again!

There are 3 Frozen pressed penny machines located at DHS.

Disney & Co. on Hollywood Blvd. has a pressed penny machine with an Olaf.

In Character by the exit of the Voyage of the Little Mermaid has a machine with Elsa, Cinderella, and Ariel.

Oaken's Trading Post has Anna, Elsa, and Olaf.

Olaf is the same at Oaken's and Disney & Co. But Elsa is different at In Character and Oaken's.

Following thread.... We just got the premium package for sept and trying to find out if it's really worth the extra money or if I should cancel it.
Thanks!

Now that this has been going on for a while now, I was just curious about how many people have been bringing their own skates for the ice skating.

My kids keep going back and forth as to whether they want to skate. It's no big deal for me to bring them because I know they won't skate without them. They just may not want to skate if they are the only ones not in rentals.

My apologies in advance as I have not read all 100+ pages of this thread. On the first post there is mention of an App and some special photos that can be taken. Can anyone provide further information on this? We will not have Memory Maker and do not plan to purchase any Disney photos so I am wondering if it is something different.

It's the free Aurasma app that can be found in your App Store on your mobile device. There will be a CM at each Aurasma location to assist you.
