*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

I've never seen Frozen and our son is too young to be into any of that. But if it keeps the crowds spread out and not all in line for rides...then I'm all for it! :)

My husband finds it a bit ironic that as Canadians, we have to go to California to see snow.

We haven't seen it either, we are at the other end of the "age group" my daughter, age 17, is too old for it all. She just wants the snow.

She actually only asked yesterday if we are close to anywhere that would get snow, so now she will see it :banana:

We are lucky to get snow once in a blue moon, so this will be great to see, as for Ice Skating, well that activity is even rarer than the snow, so that will be awesome:banana:

I really liked Frozen. In fact, my husband and I saw it alone before the kids did. It really is worth a rental. We actually just taped it on the Starz free preview weekend. It's way better than a typical kids movie.

We get snow here but it's been really warm lately, for the most part. He made a similar comment - "Snow at California Adventure is probably the only snow Henry will see this year." And he's probably right.

We had a tiny bit of snow last Friday night but it's all gone and that might be the only snow Victoria gets this year. We normally get rain, not snow.

Coming over from Wales on the 22nd for 3 nights in Anaheim, then 4 nights in Downtown LA for the UFC event at the Staples center, and then back to Anaheim for 3 nights, super excited but also on a little bit of a downer as we have just found out how many rides will be closed during our stay, Spalsh Mountain, Soarin, Peter Pan, also no World of Colours show.

I thought I read that Pacific Wharf (restaurant) will be closed during our stay. But I can't recall where I read it. Anyone know?

Welcome to the thread, I've added what I *think* are your dates to the first post, feel free to correct me if I guessed wrong!

Yes it is scheduled to close Jan 5th for refurb, not sure how long it is scheduled though :confused3. Schedule is currently out until Jan 18th & as of now it is listed as being closed on it. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/calendars/day/2015-01-18/

Good news is Peter Pans Flight is still NOT on Disneyland Refurb list (yet) and it was rumored to be. :woohoo:

I'm mostly crossing my fingers about Winnie the Pooh and Small World right now.

It is almost time for me to start thinking about making dining reservations! WOOT!!

It is almost time for me to start thinking about making dining reservations! WOOT!!

December 11th is the first day that I can make reservations but I think I will wait until the 13th so I can make both reservations (F! @ BB and the Chef's Table @ Napa Rose along with Pinocchio's workshop for DS) at the same time.

The only one we're making is lunch at Big Thunder BBQ. I can make it tomorrow. Woohoo!

We are torn on the day we want to do Ariel's lunch. I am debating reserving for both days until the hours come out and I can decide for sure. I am leaning towards Monday 2/9, so I will reserve that day for sure.

What's the deal with knowing the hours? Getting into the park earlier? (Newbie alert)

For me, I need to decide what day to focus on seeing Anna and Elsa. I think we have early entry at DCA on both Sunday and Monday, which are our two full days. One day we will just go to DL instead of doing early entry. I am leaning towards doing that Sunday, assuming Frozen stuff couldbe crowded and early entry is super early. But, if the parks don't open until 10, early entry is at 9, which may not give us enough time before lunch.

Woo hoo! No reservations for me, as I tend to eat on the run more on my solo trips like this one will be. ... Though we're at something like 57 days which is celebration-worthy as far as I'm concerned!

I'm trying to decide if I want to do any tours (specifically WIWF). I'll be going with DD and DH in May, and DD is all about the rides, so spending that kind of money on something she wouldn't be enjoying... which then leaves me to consider if I want to do it on my solo trip. I remember having lots of time to just soak things in on my solo trips, so I think there would be time to do it, and there's money to do it, so it's just figuring out if I want to do it on my own.
