I didn't like it all that much. I thought she had the SAME exact problem that Carrie Ann said that Hope had. She went from one lift, to another, to another without really flowing. Kinda herky jerky.

FTR, I think that Carrie Ann had a bug up her butt over MMMaks. I saw him smile but not *smirk*.

My votes are going to JR.

I disagree, Ricki's lifts were much smoother than Hope's IMO. That kind of tango does have a sort of herky jerkiness to it though.

Carrie Ann definitely had a bug up her butt! My guess is that she isn't too happy with Makipoo this season and it shows. I didn't see the smile or the smirk.

Poor JR! He did pretty good for having a bum ankle though. I'm throwing some votes his way too.

I know, right? Maybe if they had a Frankenstein theme -stomp around dance, I'd see him taking first place for that or wait, the USC fight song?

It was! They were very evenly matched, I was actually rooting for Mel B.

well, he definitely had the most room TO improve...he should be VERY grateful to those judges and his fans for keeping him around, Hope too. Niether of them have the natural rhythm that Rikki and JR have and it is getting harder and harder to hide it. They may as well just cut to the chase of Rikki and JR. A freestyle with either Hope or Rob I'm guessing, will not hold a candle to the other 2 couples.

Don't rule Cheryl out here. This is her forte, making the most of her partner's qualities. She also was voted the best freestyle with (I think) Drew Lachey? They won that year because of their freestyle.

There was definitely a vibe that the judges are trying to push Rob through to the semi-finals and kick Hope and Maks to the curb tonight.

I was just going to say the same thing. Cheryl is VERY good at working within her partner's strengths, especially when they have that "underdog" feel to them. Emmit Smith was not the best technical dancer of his season but CHERYL made him the WINNER. She can do it with Rob too ... especially since the judges have a "thing" for him.

I do agree that Cheryl is good but if JR's ankle is better than I think it will be between him and Rikki. It may all come down to the lifts in the freestyle. I really don't think Rob can do a great lift, he did not lift Cheryl above his waist tonight. Rikki doesn't really do high lifts either. It may all come down to JR's ankle, because I think he could really do some spectacular lifts.

I can't even watch next weeks finale live, the NE Patriots are pre-empting it! ABC is going to broadcast the show at 1:30am, if I'm interested in waiting until then. So bummed....

I do have to agree, that I didn't much care for Rikki and Derek's tango. There were just a few too many spots that she needed to polish. The lifts weren't that wow. She also projected some of the moves. And for the love of god, point your toes when your partner lifts you and your leg is straight out. Flexing your foot, looks horrid. DD gringed when she saw that.

Bruce Jenner - I don't get it? How does one go from bring one of the strongest, fittest athletes in the WORLD winning, the gold medal for the decathlon, to allowing himself to having a frozen face with all that plastic surgery?

in the 1976 Olympics I had such a crush on him now...... he's a freakizoid. They are there every week because they live vicariously off the children. Sad and pathetic existance from what I see.

As for Robs dancing it was good last night. I think we have seen the last of Hope. I really liked her in the beginning but I don't she really improved all that much. I would rather have seen David stay.

Riki looked like a giant canary in that dress.

I've seen other comments that agree the judges wanted Hope to be gone. I think they were very unfair last night. Remember when we all wanted Bristol to go home? She did improve but had they not bent over backwards to be nice to her, had they treated her like they have treated Hope, she would have gone sooner, she certainly did not deserve to be in the finals.

I don't think Hope will win, but I do think she danced as well as Rob last night. I know the fans vote for who they like, not always the best dancer, but shouldn't the judges be above that? It was so obvious last night that they were pushing Rob. I could almost understand if he were a better dancer, like Chelsea Kane, but he is not.

I think Hope and Maks would need to be very high in the viewer voting to overcome the judges scores. I wonder if Carrie Ann was trying to egg Maks into saying something that would make him look like the angry guy again. I can certainly understand his frustrations this season, I feel that way about the judges too. It is starting to affect my enjoyment of the show.
