Okay, so I pay all this money to stay at an official Disney Resort not only to be immersed but for the perks. One of those is being able to get fast passes and make reservations early so that I can have a better vacation. Now Disney has opened up these perks to official Disney hotels along with extra magic hours. So now everything just got a lot more crowded and reservations and decent fast passes are going to be even harder to come by. I mean what the hell Disney? I am a DVC member I pay dues and a lot of money to buy points , and now I might as well just go stay at the dog gone Best Western are you freaking kidding me. Does anyone else feel the same way?

When I first stayed at BW at Disney Spring we got free parking, Dropped off if you took the bus at the MK Gate area, Package delivery

I'm feeling the same. I am paying $700+/night for a cash reservation for a 2 bedroom at OKW for marathon weekend in 2 weeks. I am looking at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, right across from Disney Springs, and can get a 2 bedroom suite for $306/night. We plan to rent a car, so right now the only advantages that my OKW room will have is
*full kitchen
*in room laundry
*ability to charge things to the magic bands.

I'm not sure those 3 things justify paying twice as much...strongly considering switching.

I believe you have to book via Disney Travel. So Disney gets a cut of the booking. Cannot do this via, say, Hilton or hotels.com.

Yes. Why pay the premium to stay at a Disney resort then?
