We stayed there for 2 nights when we first moved while we waited for our condo to be ready. We got a GREAT deal with my entertainment card (you get 50% off at Holiday Inns.) We stayed for $40!!!!!!!!!!!

It's hard to give an opinion on it because everyone sees things differently. IMO, it was an ok place. The rooms are 'ok' and the hotel iteslf has a cute skytop bar and restaurant. It's not in the 'best' neighborhood, but not somewhere you should fear for your life either. There are a couple restaurants right by it (one of my favorites, California Dreaming!!!) It's right across the Ashley River bridge from Downtown. It's about 15 minutes to the beaches.

I know the feeling... I really dislike this time of the year (at least for the last 5 years) because we struggle so much financially... our silver lining is one of the guys Andrew used to work with just called Andrew today and needs his help on a tree job... it's not as good as getting his own job, but it's work so it's a blessing. God never gives us more than we can handle. Even though I say that to myself and think it's not true, I know it is. Things will turn around for you. Just know that we are here for you. I haven't picked up my weights since I came back from FL... but I do have the Buff Moms to Be book... it looks so nice on my coffee table... I promise... tomorrow... I HAVE to or I'm going to be gaining a lot of unhealthy weight and I want to look good for you girls in October.

I think California Dreaming may only be in SC. I've eaten at the one in Greenville and in Columbia. It's a mix of food... salads, steaks, seafood, chicken and a great bar. I know that doesn't make it sound very good, but everything is fresh and really yummy

I"m game for anything that tastes good!!! Especially since my senses have calmed down a bit and I can tolerate most smells again... I love a good steak... especially now that I'm pregnant. Apparently my body is craving the protein and the iron. I never used to eat this much red meat... now I crave it. It's funny how our bodies change over the course of a few months... now that I've talked about it... I want steak... ugh....

Ok, how weird is it that I have been to 4 of the restaurants Karen listed?

I have been to Chophouse in Greenville, ok but California Dreaming is better. And I have been to the Tavern at Jupiter in FL. It's right down the road from where my grandparents live I would have never guessed it was the same company.

I haven't been to the ones in Atlanta and Kennesaw, GA and that's where I live now. I guess I know where DF and I are eating this weekend
