Yes, mine has always been mean, but very subtle about it. She likes to announce to the family how I don't have a job. Um, I'm raising 3 children. :sad2: She also likes to tell my girls how cleaning, cooking, etc. is "women's work." OMG, I can't stand her. :furious:

Your MIL sounds just lovely, too. What did we do to deserve this? :confused3
I don't know what we did. I think an even better question is why do they think they can treat us the way they do? I think thats any age old question.

My mom swears I need to stand up to her. Her MIL (my grandma) was horrible to my mom until she finally told her off. But I am sooo non-confrontational. :sad2:

Have to go get the girls ready for bed, but I'll be back. ;)

My mother let her MIL (my grandma) make her feel bad for the last 30+ years and my dad wouldn't let her stand up to grandma. I knew I didn't want to be that way. I wanted my MIL to know the boundries, though she often barges right over them. :furious: DH can't stand up to her so if I didn't she would control our lives. The funny( if you want to call it that) thing is my MIL hates her MIL but doesn't know why I don't love mine. :confused3

:cloud9: to your babies.

Doing good. Had a nice weekend. Went into the mtns. to see the changing leaves. The only not so good is we are trying to work something out to meet DH's family at Myrtle Beach over christmas time. :guilty: They drive me nuts so much. I always get so sick before I have to see them. Once I'm there it's usually better but the dread of it makes me ill. Oh well.

I never noticed that the shadow looks like a heart. :thumbsup2 Thats cool.
You can keep driving and come to Orlando...I will be there!!!

Most MIL think their sons are the best thing since sliced bread. My mother in law used to call me a B...., until I gave her son a 7 figure net worth, and she began to see how hostel he was(just like her). The she started to be more neutral. But I now have limitations with her, since one of the last times my kids saw their Grandmother she threatned to jump fom a moving car(while DH and kids were in the car). It took me 6 months to calm the kids down...every time I drove some where it became 20 questions. Finally I told my MIL, that she can not vacation with us, and what the kids were saying about what she did. I think she honestly felt bad.

But my parents are not much better...every inlaw (except my DH) has some kind of problem, and they don't like....my poor brother--they really hate his wife. :confused3

Enough about this :offtopic: back to the good stuff

Our winters can be brutal! I am 60 miles sw of Chicago.
I've never been. I haven't been to the state actually. Our winters are mild for the most part. I think the coldest I have ever been was visiting DB in Brooklyn in December. And it snowed and the wind blew. I think of that and it makes me happy to be much farther south. :) I hear Chicago can be pretty brutal with the winter weather. Stay warm. The Orlando pictures should help.... ;) :teeth:

I'm(we-DH and kids are coming too) staying with a friend who lives on Belmont Ave in Chicago. We're going to the Field on Friday to see Tutt.
Michele...Why are you moving to Iceland? Sounds funny ;)
