I am from the Midwest and due to changes in my life have not been to WDW for a number of years. Really looking forward to planning this vacation and making it my best one yet!!

Who is with me? When do you plan to be in the parks?

Yay! Thanks for creating this thread. This is my very first post but I've been a lurker for a little under two years. I'm too excited for this trip even though it's more than a year away.

The plan is to go Nov 28th - Dec 9th. It will be me, my DH, DS9, Ds8 & Dd3. This will be our first trip during the Christmas season. We were last at DW this past February when we were gifted a 4 day trip. We had a blast and packed a lot in. This time I'm looking forward to a more leisurely trip. It will be fun to see how all the ideas and plans shape up.

Welcome. We plan to arrive on the 9th and stay through the 19th. I am going to be watching for a free dining offer. Due to time issues we will have to fly but I would prefer to drive.

Welcome to our small but growing group. Christmas is a fund time to be st WDW. What I do not like is it is harder to tell what to wear. But it is really nice not to deal with the extreme heat.

There is four of us going for sure. Myself, my wife, my sister, her 19 year old daughter and we may bring a friend for my niece.

Thanks for making this thread!! I am an annual passholder and visit often for day trips, however I have never spent Christmas (just an insane Thanksgiving back when I was 6 or so) at WDW.

December 1-5 at Wilderness Lodge for my boyfriend and myself!

Oh how I wish I was going this year but there's something so exciting about planning a trip this far away

I want to take a moment and welcome the newcomers to this thread.

I have begun a list or Roll Call if you will in my first post. I have included information you have provided like your username, dates you plan to visit, where you are staying and who is in your group. If you do not want to be included please let me know and I will remove you from the list. Please feel free to use this to help each of you to connect with each other. It can be much fun. In the past we connected with another family and shared the cost of one of the evening cruises to watch the fireworks at MK. Made it doable for both of us and was very enjoyable. Another item we may want to track (yes big brother or me will be watching) is who is planning to attend MVMCP and on which night. Just another opportunity to connect. Oh and let us not forget to acknowledge any celebration or milestones we may be celebrating.

I will try to check back at least weekly see all soon!!!!!

Thanks for starting this thread! Our dates are Dec 26-Jan 2 CBR. It will be DH, DS, DD and me. This will be our 3rd trip to WDW and I'm excited to be there over the holidays but a little scared to face the Christmas crowds. But I know we'll still have a great time!

mbvisitor, Welcome to the thread. I really look forward to hearing what everyone is planning to do while at the parks. Talking about where to eat and what we like about the resorts we are staying in. Please know that any question can be asked and if we do not have an experience which will address it one of us should be able to offer direction as to how an answer can be found. We could at some point begin a photo game where we can post pictures from past trips and we try to guess where in the park it was taken.

I also have been on several threads where a face book group was organized as well. I still have many facebook friends who share my love of all things Disney as a result. Whatever we do it is up to the members of the thread. Well I am going to sign off till next time! See you yet another day.

We took advantage of a bounce back offer in August, and now have free dining at the Caribbean Beach Resort from December 16-22!

Yep, November '17 for us. I'm counting the days until I can say "one year from today!" lol Time drags while you are waiting to go, and flies by while you are there. We were there in May but it already feels like forever ago.

Changing dates slightly! Decided to do a split stay between Disney & Universal! Hubby isn't a Disney fan but he loves Universal so he'll be joining us for that half of the trip!

Isn't that amazing how it works? LOL. We always feel like there was just never enough time there because it goes too fast, no matter how long you make the vacation! We are so far away that we are counting down by months right now! Hahaha!

Okay, it looks like they merged my thread here, even though it was for people that were over a year away to include October and November posters but oh well, I fit here.

We are December 5th-15th at the Contemporary Atrium Club level and then on the 15th we board the Disney Dream!

Anyone already trying to make a list of restaurants that they are wanting to dine at?

We don't make our final dining plans until the hours of the parks come out and then we decide what parks we plan on being in and then we can decide to firm up our dinner plans. We only like to to eat dinner in sit down restaurants and we do our traditional Chef Mickey's breakfast the day our cruise comes back!

This year's trip was interesting because after we made all our dining reservations they went and changed A LOT of the park hours! LOL!! It was quite interesting all the hopping around we did! HAHAH!!
