*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

I'll be making our ADRs on our last park day at Disneyland, so we're going to start making our final choices tonight.

Even without park hours for my dates posted, I'm pretty much counting on park hours being changed from whatever they post anyway. Probably won't be doing any pre-park open MK breakfasts because I don't want to rework meal times if they open an hour earlier. That being said, I love the early mornings for touring, so I can't be too sad about missing a breakfast. (Reality check - I'm talking a big game here, but the pull of Pooh is quite strong, and we were sad to cancel Crystal Palace last July when hours changed, so I can say "no pre-park open MK breakfasts" all day long, and it doesn't mean I'll follow through, LOL!!)

Right now the only thing I feel confident we want is a pre-park open Garden Grill breakfast at Epcot, and a dinner at Yachtsman. Otherwise, I have no idea. We want to attempt no repeats, but I'm not sure we'll be able to go through with that either.

**Editing to add...I'll come back to update the first page later today! I did go ahead and get TattyLou on the MVMCP section though!!

We have our dining choices finalized, but not sure what day we are going to do them. Waiting to see when morning EMH is for every park but MK. I gave up on pre-park openings for MK, seems like every time I book one they open early and I have to cancel it.

We have a mixture of repeats and some new ones. This will be the first time we are not planning a meal at Chef Mickey's, everyone was ok with that but DS.

Hey y'all! We finally booked our sister trip, 11/28 - 12/5 at Pop. It will be my sister's first time and I am just hoping she will love it as much as I do. I am feeling a little guilty about leaving the kids home with the husband, but they don't see I love planning a Disney vacay almost as much as I love going!
I'm thinking of doing this very thing, my oldest sister and I are trying to sneak away! (I have 5 kids she has 3) Planning 12/4-9 at Pop! She's very efficient and I think we can knock out the parks and just do it all with no kids in tow! :) Hopefully she can convince her husband to "let" her go...my DH is pushing me out the door :rotfl:

I haven't stopped by in a while but saw that we started a Christmas party attendance.

Just wanted to post that we will be going to the Christmas party on 12/18.

I think we have our dining choices finalized. lol I stopped changing my mind over and over but I'm trying to get DH on board with 2 character breakfasts. He is good with the one but I want to do another. I want to do Cape May and 1900. The only other thing I'm trying to decide on is whether or not to book an ADR our arrival day. We booked an early flight and will land by 930 am. My kids are pretty young but we want to go to the parks for a little bit. Originally was going to do a quick service meal then not worry about if travel doesn't go well.

I hope she's able to convince him! We take a annual sister trip, usually to some adult location, and it's always a blast. :) My DH sounds like your's. He's knows my mood is always better when there is a Disney trip being planned!

If you call Disney they will give you generic park hours with the EMH. They did not have fireworks, parades or show times. It was helpful to start planning a little better, we make our reservations on Monday!

Great!!! I will try to call tomorrow! Thanks for the info

I have eaten breakfast at Cape May (character interaction was great) and I hope to one day have breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

We drive so I can't ever make ADRs on our arrival day because there are so many variables dealing with what time we arrive.

Woohoo!! We finally got our plane tickets...flying out of our home airport, 20 minutes away, will land in Orlando around 5:30pm...on the 16th instead of the 17th, so we will be adding a night. Will call later to see if we can add a night at Boardwalk with the 30% off code we used on our package, if we can't we'll do a stand alone night somewhere else. Don't really want to pay holiday/weekend pricing for Pop, so we're considering POFQ for one night.

Also hammered out a kind of day by day plan, which might be changing now with an extra full day, but I've picked a few restaurants:

--On our resort hopping day to check out decorations (the day we go to MVMCP probably) - Breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe

--Garden Grill early breakfast on our Epcot morning day (we'll be doing more evenings there, but I'm planning one quick morning there)

--Yachtsman dinner

and *hopefully* a Candlelight Processional Package at San Angel on our last full park day on the 22nd. We'll do MK in the morning and end with a holiday focused evening at Epcot.

We want to use our proximity to Epcot to our advantage and will likely look for same day reservations at some of the World Showcase restaurants.

Trying to figure out when/where/how to add in some time at Disney Springs, too, because there are so many great options there now!!

Just booked a FD package. We didn't think we were going to be able to go to Disney this year, but we managed to make it work. We will be at Pop from Dec 13-19 on the DDP. We were so happy there was availability for Pop. We have stayed here the last two years and now making it three years in a row. We can't wait to plan again. Hopefully the hours will come out soon. :cool1:

I'm at POP from 12/10-12/18. Maybe we'll run into each other.

This year our trip is going to be a little different, because we'll be staying with my sister in Tampa for three days before we move on to staying at the resort. This means we're flying into Tampa and are forgoing DME which is one of our favorite parts of starting our trip. We're excited we're going to get to see the ocean and do some stuff outside of WDW, though. I'm just wondering how we'll be able to do it on the way back. We're flying out of Orlando on the way back home, and I'm hoping we'll be able to take DME back to the airport from the resort if we didn't take it to the resort at the beginning. I'm confident Disney will help us out when I call and let them know what's going on, they've always been super accommodating.

Anyone going to be at Pop 17th through the 22nd? Also, any advice on what room area to request at Pop?! Someone posted on a blog 4th floor Lake view in the 70's section, but I'm debating whether that's too far from transportation while lugging a stroller and two other kids!

I can't wait to make ADR's!!!!

Oh my gosh, I had no idea it was only 1 credit, either! Do you have to call to book the Fantasmic package? We've never done it and this may be the year to try.

should be able online once they post the packages online, which i think happens after you 180 mark will

Those are our exact same dates but at CSR. We splurged and made it a 9-day trip instead of our usual 7 days.

June 13th (our 180 day mark) is right around the corner. Game on dnllmz!
Good luck with your ADRs.:)
