**Official December 2010 Thread!!**

This is pertaining to my trip in May considering all my Dec ADRs are made. I was reading somewhere that people are able to make ADRs "180 + 10". Does that mean you can make ADRs at 190 days or did I misunderstand something? I'm just trying to get everything written down on a calendar so I can get things figured out in a timely fashion.
Day 180 is the first day your trip begins. The plus 10 means that you can make adr's for the 10 days after that so you can book all of your adrs for your trip at one time instead of calling back each day to do so. So if Nov 6 is 180 days before the first day of your trip, you can make 10 days worth of adrs on that day, even though they are 180 +. Hope I didn't make that even more confusing:)

Sometimes whatever website you got it from has some issues and it won't show up. I've had it happen before. Then a few minutes later I look again and its there.

I thought about that, but then I lose my progress. Oh well. It was nice seeing it halfway down the ticker.

Oh yes we can't forget about the use of the APs. We are upgrading our tickets to APs in December when we go. It just makes sense that way.

Question, how do you go about upgrading your tickets to an AP? Do I just go to guest relations at one of the parks?

Yes you can it at guest relations at the parks.

Thanks! That's what I thought but wasn't entirely sure..

If you bought your tickets before the price increase in August, or you got them from a discounter like Undercover Tourist, just make sure to USE the tickets first before upgrading them. That way, you should get credit for the full then-current gate price of the entire ticket.

Otherwise, you'll just get credit for what you paid, or if from a discounter, what the discounter paid Disney for the tickets (less than you paid).

Not all Guest Relations folks know how to "bridge" the price so you get the full credit. You should have the numbers with you so you can correct them if they do it wrong. Take the December price of the ticket you have, and subtract it from the cost of the AP ($499 pre-tax, $531.44 with tax), so you'll know exactly what you should pay. If necessary, ask for a manager.

Have fun!

Okay thank you for explaining that. I had to read what you wrote a few times but I get it now :)

I always buy me tickets through Disney :). Thanks for the tip.

We have never been to Disney in November/December before. We just arrived back from our September trip and I have washed and ironed all our clothes. Now I am on to thinking how to pack for our next trip. What is the normal weather like? Would we be ok wearing shorts and a tshirt? Is the weather like Jan? We went in the middle of Jan in 2009 and it was COLD. Any packing tips would be so helpful!! :)

I've read many different responses to this question. I really honestly think it changes from year to year (and sometimes day to day). The best peice of advice I can give you (this will be our first trip for Christmas) is pack for everything. Then you'll have shorts in the off chance that its warm enough for them or jeans in case it gets really cold at night.

My plan is 2 pairs of shorts, a few short sleeves, 3 pairs of jeans, lightweight sweatshirt. I'm pooh sized (:lmao:) so I'll more then likely have a t-shirt on under my sweatshirt and if I get warm then I can take it off and put it in my bag on the back of my wheelchair.

I'm a weird creature, lol, I'd rather be a little cold then burning up hot.

I got the call from Kouzzina today... they had to cancel my adr because they are closing for refurb in december. Now I'm going to have to play with my adrs some more. And just when I thought I was done with that. I hope I don't have too much trouble trying to get in somewhere else. Anyone else dealing with this?

I hadn't heard about this refurb! The dates are November 29th - December 14th, my ADR is for the 15th so we should be okay ...

I recommend the Big River Grille, nearby on the Boardwalk, they only take walk-ups, so it could be a good alternative if you're unable to get an ADR else where.
Also near to Kouzzina is the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club - it's usually easy to get an ADR there, if you're looking to eat in the same area.

From the ADR list, the only other DISer I can see for Kouzzina on these dates is:

12/3
Ltl Mermaid - 8pm

Sounds like a good plan! I am like you, I would rather be cold then hot.

I'm throwing in capris as well as shorts and long pants. A couple of tee-shirts and some long sleeve shirts as well as a hoodie and a fleece. I'll probably wear my Barbour coat down so I have something for the evenings if it gets cold - oh and a lightweight jacket. Layering is going to be key, I think. I can't stand being cold (yeah, even though I live in Vermont), so I just as soon put more ON at first! I'm just not sure if I should bring sandals or not. What do you all think?

59 days to go! :woohoo:

This weekend - I have pre-ordered our Photo Pass cd :goodvibes

and..

done something that most of you probably don't need to do..

Exchange some £s for US $s ! When the cashier said "are you going anywhere nice?" .. I said "Yes!! New York and Disney World!" :yay:

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend.. another week closer to our vacations!

I was thinking about the sandal thing last night but my reasoning has nothing necessarily to do with the stay at Disney. I'm going to be in my wheelchair when going through security at the airport and my sandals are easier to get on and off vs my tennis shoes and socks.

How do you go about pre-ordering the CD? Okay then you get it pre-ordered then what? Do you pick it up at the park when you get there?

Sorry I've never done a photo pass CD this way before so I'm curious.

Thanks :)

Alrighty Cancel us for MVMCP on december 3rd! We decided to do WWOHP on Monday instead!

And we have added an ADR at Raglan Road on 12/3/2010 @530pm. Anyone ever been there? That is one place I have never been.

My cousins gave me a fright yesterday when they asked me to change all of our ADR's

We were there October of '08 and it was really fun! We had fish and chips and their bread pudding...it was fantastic!

Follow this link..

http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitoffer.aspx

and choose the $99 pre-order CD (it usually costs $149).

Go to checkout & purchase it.. then they send you an email confirming your purchase..

Go to WDW, have lots & lots of photos taken with photopass..

Get home, log on to photopass website & view all your photos, add the 'photo cd' to your basket.. then it'll automatically credit your account so it's free :thumbsup2 (you'll have logged in so it'll know your email/log in details)

It's all explained in the confirmation email they send you!

This is the third time I've done it.. I love getting the PP pictures taken around the parks and knowing I've saved money pre-ordering the cd lol :cutie:
