COME ON DECEMBER!!! Why is time going so slow???

I so need a vacation. Life has been way too much to handle lately. First my 16 yo sister is HIV+, my mom is a foster mom for HIV+ babies and my parents adopted her when she was a 2, stopped taking her meds. I am the one that got to have the talk with her and deal with that issue. Her numbers were going insane and thankfully she didn't get sick because they were so bad a cold could have killed her. Then dealing with my DD who is autistic and her struggles with school and her new schedule. Business has sucked so money is stressing me out. We are ok but I get stressed when its not as consistant.My sister is haivng issues with her ex and my neice and I am actually really frightened of what he is capable of but my sister is too blind to see it.

UGHH sorry I know this is supposed to be a happy place but I am having a hard time getting to mine and I just need Dec. to hurry up so I can atleast get far away from all the drama and truely be in my happy place.

And regarding your sister, I pray she will be able to handle the situation safely for everyone involved. A friend of mine was murdered two weeks ago by her ex. She left behind five beautiful children. Please seek help if it gets to a level that is unfamiliar territory.

It's a rainy, dreary day here in MD today. We are thankful for the rain (since it's been so dry all summer) but I am SO looking forward to 68 days from now....and some beautiful Florida sunshine!

Dec 6: Closing time/EMH start time moved back to 10pm.

Epcot:
Future World closes at 9:30 every night in December (except December 31--closes at 1:00am)

Animal Kingdom:
Dec 6: Closing time pushed back 1hr (6pm)
Dec 7: Closing time/EMH start time pushed back 1hr (6pm)
Dec 15: Closing time/EMH start time pushed back 1hr (6pm)

Dec 24: Closing time changed to 11pm

I don't know when these changes were made but when I was making my park plans over a month ago it showed on www.wdwinfo.com that MK was closing at 11.

I just booked 1900 Park Fare for Christmas Eve morning!!

Orginally I didn't want to do a breakfast the morning of MK and just get to the park. But I figured we could look into getting a ressie there and then we wouldn't have far to go to the park.

So it's pretty sad when most of my conversations with several of my students' parents at our parent/teacher conferences tonight centered around our mutual experiences at Disney World! Good thing their kids are doing fine!

I officially added the dining plan today! Sooo excited! I had been meaning to call but I just kept putting it off and the Elvira.. the CM I spoke to was such a dream!!! I had such a great conversation with her. And she made my day!

I also have to take a day off from our trip but wont until October 31st to see if my waitlist goes through!!!! Because if I change it now... then I lose my wait list spot!

just got back from San Francisco for work and catching up. 64 days to go. Plus it is State Fair of TX time!!! so going to take the kiddo out there next weekend for some fried food and rides! get us in the disney mood a little.

I was talking with my mom today and she is coming down to Florida Dec 26 - Jan 2nd. She has a timeshare somewhere else in Orlando and they are doing IOA and Universal. She's coming down with my other family members. We are DVC members (home resort BLT) and I bought our tickets back in June. I got 2 RT tickets from Dallas to Orlando for like 590 bucks. Yeah, she just started looking TODAY for tickets. I couldn't help but laugh at her :lol. I simply told her, "Yeah good luck with that mom."

Are you in Dallas too? I am in Plano. I just flew into DFW today - business trip to San Francisco. I almost always fly american. We bought our tickets back in March. we go Dec 4-11th- non stop, first flight out (6:20am and then return is 6:30pm). we paid $239 for each, not too bad. The cheapest i have found direct on AA or even Delta out of DFW i think was like $199.

For anyone planning to go to Universal, how are you getting there? I'm trying to decide between the Dreams Unlimited package and going in a taxi. Any advice???

I live in Corinth, 30 miles north of Dallas (between Lewisville and Denton). Normally when we go to Orlando we take Airtran. Well, obviously now that will not be happening with the buy out. So now we're only stuck with using American.

I don't have anything against American its just a lot more expensive. We are going in May again (to celebrate my completion of college). I've been looking at AA's fares and they aren't that bad right now. It also helps though that I have a rewards debit card and I can convert my rewards points to $$ and use that $$ to get reduced airfare tickets. So it helps some.

I came in to the office late afternoon on Wednesday (my fabulous boss gave me the day off "just because") because DS takes guitar from my boss (it's complicated! ). ANYWAY....up on the shelf was a light up Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern and on my desk was a cute note from my boss thanking me for all I do at the office. He said "I think I may be enabling your addiction, but when I saw this I thought I needed to get it for you."

Isn't that sweet?
