We won't drive since it will take us 21 hours, but the prices to fly out of Canada are outrageous so we drive 2 hours to Buffalo. I got round trip for 4 in Dec for $800

I'm confused.... I thought that the light display was just "on" and we would walk through and look at everything.....Am I totally missing something?

We went last year and the display started at dusk and the lights would just be on, then they'd turn off for a few seconds right before a song and then the song would play and the lights would perform in time to the music. We were there about an hour and none of the songs ever replayed. Am I answering the question?

We are going out of manchester...found great prices on SW. Def. packing fleeces and sweatshirts. My good friend went down 2 yrs ago same week and told me to bring those thin cheap stretchy gloves. Said it was in the 40's at night and it was pretty cold. She said during the day shorts or capris. She said she was fine with fleece and sweatshirt, but her 6 y/o DD was cold and needed gloves and a hat.

I looked out of Manchester but couldn't find the times I need. DH is on a time constraint with work, so he will be getting off his shift (paramedic) at 7am and there was nothing direct from Manch. that fit his schedule. So flying into Tampa it is
I am going to head to Walmart and pick up some of those gloves and a cheap hat for DS so he can loose it and I won't care. I always buy a sweatshirt down there as my souvie so I think I will just bring the fleece with me and hope when we land at 6pm it won't be so cold.

EMH at AK changed I guess???? I wanted to avoid the crowds, so I was planning around them. Well... now the day I have a Tusker House lunch is an EMH day. Gotta change that...

Step away from the ADRs!!! I have been good I haven't even looked at mine. Well thats a lie when I was going to change resorts at the end of our trip I looked at chanigng my CRT day so it would be covered by the deluxe DDP but since there were none available I said forget it and I stopped and didn't even change our resort. I have been very very proud of myself. If I can do anyone can. LOL

Airfare is one of the reasons we drive 17 hours to get to WDW. My fear of flying is actually #1 LOL.

My dear friend asked the other day when we were leaving and I reminded her that it was in Dec. She then asked "...and where are you flying out from?" I turned and looked at her like the little infamous internet chipmunk and she said "oh, right... you don't fly!"

I've been good. I haven't done anything yet, but was looking and wondering. If anything I will be dropping one or two.

I dropped our Yack & Yeti reservation and picked up a Chef Mickey. I thought that was a good trade. But otherwise, I won't be doing any more ADR changes. We don't use the dining plan, and only have 4 TS meals scheduled. But otherwise, I can't stop obessessing about this vacation.

We booked this trip last minute (last week) with just quick service dining (DH only agreed to it because I said we'd stay at a value with free quick service plan!) so we don't have an ADRs this trip. Its weird not having ADRs to obsess over!

We'll probably end up booking one sit down dinner, but I can only stress over that so much

We are flying out of DFW on Airtran for Christmas. I'm ticked because now that Southwest bought out Airtran now the only nonstop option to MCO from DFW is American. I was looking up flights for our trip next May are they are like 311 dollars PER ticket. Yeah, I know they can still go down (May is still quite a ways a way) but damn it! I miss my Airtran already

We booked this trip last minute (last week) with just quick service dining (DH only agreed to it because I said we'd stay at a value with free quick service plan!) so we don't have an ADRs this trip. Its weird not having ADRs to obsess over!

We'll probably end up booking one sit down dinner, but I can only stress over that so much

Hurray, we'll be at Pop at the same time! We are checking in a day early on a separate ressie, because it saved me over $200 in plane fares.
Also feeling the lack of ADRs. I love to razz people about them, but I do miss that part. (Although we are really looking forward to no tips and more freedom.) To scratch my itch, I am obsessing over whether or not to do MVMCP (waiting on weather), CP, plus all the Christmas stuff and planning a resort decoration visit schedule (with my lone ADR at GF for tea.)

It's a rainy, dreary day here in MD today. We are thankful for the rain (since it's been so dry all summer) but I am SO looking forward to 68 days from now....and some beautiful Florida sunshine!

Here are the hour changes for December:
Magic Kingdom:
Dec 6: Closing time/EMH start time moved back to 10pm.

Epcot:
Future World closes at 9:30 every night in December (except December 31--closes at 1:00am)

Animal Kingdom:
Dec 6: Closing time pushed back 1hr (6pm)
Dec 7: Closing time/EMH start time pushed back 1hr (6pm)
Dec 15: Closing time/EMH start time pushed back 1hr (6pm)

I don't know if it changed or if I somehow had it wrong to begin with, but I had EMH at AK listed for 12/16. Now it is 12/15. The bad thing is that I had TH booked for the 16th but moved it to the 15th so we would miss EMH, now I'm not sure how I'm going to change it around...

Are you just posting the regular hours? Because we are supposed to be at Epcot on Christmas Eve until like 12:30am, so excited about that. I haven't looked at the schedule recently, because nothing had changed, but I am pretty sure it will the closer we get.

These should be the new hours that are now listed on the Disney website. I got them from a TA.

The TA said they are changed from what Disney originally posted.

I hope that it works out just fine for you. You must have misread the original calendar because I've always had AK EMH listed for 12/15 since I began tracking it in June. I do believe it changed from EMH early to EMH late with the most recent calendar.
